    摘要： A toggle type hinge (10) has a damper assembly mounted on the flange (12) of its hinge cup. The damper assembly provides a damping resistance to the closing movement of the hinge over its final stage. The damper assembly comprises a sleeve (21) which houses a linear damper. The sleeve (21) is mounted on a groove (26) on the hinge cup flange (12) and is held in position by a holder (15). A wing (22) on the sleeve (21) is arranged to come into engagement with an arm (11) of the hinge, causing the sleeve to rotate about its longitudinal axis (25). A cam arrangement (19, 23) between the hinge cup flange (12) and sleeve (21) causes the sleeve to move along its axis (25) as it rotates. The axial movement of the sleeve (21) causes compression of the damper.

    摘要： A damped hinge assembly is provided for mounting a first member (12, 13) for pivotal movement relative to a second member (14) about an axis of rotation (20). The assembly comprises a linear damper (17), which is mounted with its longitudinal axis parallel to the hinge axis, and a cam drive arrangement (21a, 21b, 30a, 30b) for converting the pivotal movement of the first member in at least one direction of rotation into linear displacement of the damper. This causes the damper to produce a damped resistive force to counter the pivotal movement of the first member. The longitudinal axis of the damper is arranged to be coincident with the hinge axis.

    摘要： A hinge assembly is provided in which a damper (25) is mounted within the mounting arm (11) of a toggle type hinge (10). The damper has a linearly reciprocal piston which is actuated by rotation of a drive shaft (27). A toothed pinion (29) attached to the drive shaft is in engagement with a driving gear (23). The driving gear is connected to an inner link (14) of the hinge so as to rotate therewith. When the cup flange (12) of the hinge pivots, the drive shaft of the damper is driven to rotate, through the action of the gear train. Rotation of the damper transmits a damped resistive force back to the cup flange.

Thus, the invention concerns a particular use of a rotary shock absorber, the incorporation of a line shock absorber into a toggle-type furniture hinge, and the combination of said toggle-type hinge and said rotary and line shock absorbers, respectively, said combination concerning the above two objects.
