Abstract:
Provided are apparatuses and methods for transmitting radiotext plus data (e.g., RT+ data) to a mobile terminal. In one example, radiotext plus data is received and transmitted to the mobile terminal in a Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld (DVB-H) data stream. Program or service data corresponding to a program may be encoded on IP and transmitted in audio/video data in a DVB-H data stream and RT+ data corresponding to the program may b transmitted on Internet Protocol (IP). For example, the RT+ data may be converted to Real- Time Transport Protocol (RTP) on a RTP timed text protocol. In another example, a content stream may be received and divided into a program data stream and a corresponding RT+ data stream. The RT+ data stream may be converted to RTP and synchronized with the program data on audio/video data in a DVB-H data stream. The RT+ data may be delivered to a mobile terminal.
Abstract:
A broadcast radio event such as a song or a concert promotion, and a plurality of radio data fields corresponding to the event such as RTplus information, are received at a device. A user selects to display broadcast radio options simultaneous with receiving the broadcast radio event. Then is displayed a set of user-selectable options, at least one o which is derived from at least one of the radio data fields. In various embodiments, each time a new set of radio data fields are received, the set of displayed options is updated, with certain provisions to 'freeze' the displayed set of options. Examples of a derived option include a link to an Internet page, a phone number or email address, and posting a time and place of an advertised event to a calendar. A method, device, computer program product, and apparatus are detailed.
Abstract:
A method for delivering program related content information to users over broadcast media. A user initiates a request to contact a program such as a shopping television program by inputting an indication that the user would like to contact the program. The mobile terminal utilizes contact information embedded in a broadcast signal to initiate a connection between the mobile device and a telephone or other device associated with the program. The contact information received in the broadcast signal may be stored in a phone book application of the mobile terminal.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for processing transmissions and creating an album of audio content are described. In one arrangement, a combined signal including a digital data component and an analog component is transmitted and received by a terminal. The combined signal is separated into the digital data component and the analog component. The analog component is digitized and then cut based upon the digital data component. Metadata from the digital data component is associated with the digitized analog component to create an album of audio content. The album may be stored or sent to an audio player for output. The digital data component may include cutting information and information data. The analog component may be an analog frequency modulation signal and the digital component may be a subcarrier signal in accordance with the DARC standard.
