The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of furopyrroles of the general formula (I), comprising (a) heating a compound of the formula (II) under microwave irradiation optionally in the presence of an inert solvent, wherein A and A are Cl-C18alkyl, C2-Cl8alkenyl, C2-Cl8alkynyl, C5-C8cycloalkyl, C5- C8cycloalkenyl, aryl or heteroaryl, A is hydrogen, C1-C18alkyl, cyanomethyl, Ar ,-CR R -(CH2 )m -Ar or Y- R , wherein R and R independently of each other stand for hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, or phenyl which can be substituted up to three times with C1-C4alkyl, Ar stands for aryl, C5-C8 cloalkyl, C5-C8 cycloalkenyl or heteroaryl, which can be substituted one to three times with C1-C8alkyl, C1-C8alkoxy, halogen or phenyl, which can be substituted with C1-C8alkyI or C1-C8alkoxy one to three times, and m stands for 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, R is C1-C18alkyl, in particular C1-C4alkyl, aryl, in particular phenyl, or aralkyl, in particular benzyl, which can be substituted one to three times with C1-C8alkyl, C1-C8alkoxy, or halogen, Y is -C(O)-, -C(O)O-, -C(O)NH-, -SO2NH- or -SO2- and R is C1-Cl8alkyl, Ar , or aralkyl. An apparatus is disclosed for thermosetting thermoplastic tubes (20) in a predefined shape having at least one bend. The apparatus includes an oven (10) with an interior chamber (12) which is heated to a temperature approaching that at which the tube thermally deforms. An elongated former (22) has a channel (23) dimensioned to receive the tube, and this channel has the predefined shape. A thermally absorbent coating (30) is disposed only on a surface of the former adjacent to and extending across each bend (24) of the former. This thermally absorbent coating locally adds the thermal energy required to reset the memory of the tube at the bend location. A conveyor (21) extends through the oven chamber from an inlet end and to an outlet end of the oven, and the former is attached to the conveyor.

The present invention relates to the use of 2,3,5,6-tetracyano-[1,4]dithiine and the N-oxides and the salts thereof for combating phytopathogenic fungi on cultivated plants, and to seeds coated with 2,3,5,6-tetracyano-[1,4]dithiine. The invention also relates to methods for combating harmful fungi, comprising treating the plants or seeds to be protected against fungal attack.

The present invention relates to synergistic mixtures comprising at least one compound I and at least one active compound II as defined herein and to the use of these mixtures for combating phytopathogenic fungi, and to seeds coated with at least one such mixture. The invention also relates methods for combating harmful fungi using such mixtures.
