    Abstract: A partial oxidation feed system (10) and a method are provided. The system (10) includes a slag additive slurry feed system (31) configured to combine a slurrying agent (24), a mineral slag additive (22), and a liquid slurrying medium (25) to generate a stabilized mineral slurry (26). The slurrying agent (24) is configured to increase a viscosity of the stabilized mineral slurry (26). The system (10) also includes a partial oxidation system (12) configured to receive the stabilized mineral slurry (26), a feedstock (16), and oxygen (14) into a gasifier reaction chamber (27). The partial oxidation system (12) is configured to partially oxidize the feedstock (16) to produce a gaseous product (18) and a solid product (20).

    Abstract: A method for removing CO 2 from a pressurized gas stream with the effluent CO 2 remaining at system pressure or higher is disclosed. Specifically, the removal method provides near isothermal absorption of CO 2 from a gas stream in a suitable solvent at an elevated pressure and relatively low temperature. The solvent is then removed from contact with the gas stream, and the temperature is increased to such an extent that the CO 2 will flash from the solvent.

    Abstract: The present application provides an integrated gasification combined cycle system (230). The integrated gasification combined cycle system may include a gas turbine engine (110), a syngas system (115) for producing a syngas (190) for the gas turbine engine and having a compressor (210) therein, and a second gas engine (240) in communication with the syngas system. The second gas engine drives the compressor via the syngas. The integrated gasification combined cycle system (230) may further include a gasifier (170), an acid gas removal system (200) and an air separation unit (180).
