摘要: A method of decoding a barcode includes determining number of barcode candidates in the image captured and processing the image captured in accordance with the number of barcode candidates found. If the number of barcode candidates is one, the image captured is processed to decode the only one barcode candidate in the image captured. If the number of barcode candidates is larger than one, the image captured is processed to find a barcode candidate that overlays with an aiming location between a first location and a second location on a scan line and to decode the barcode candidate that is found that overlays with the aiming location.

摘要: Each charging member in a group identifies a docking connection. Each charging member, responsive to identifying the docking connection, transmits information to other charging members in the group and receives information transmitted from another charging member in the group. Each charging member generates a list using the information transmitted to the group and received from the group. Each charging member also includes a ranking component for filtering, sorting, and ranking entries in the list according to a predefined selection filter and/or ranking filter. Each entry in the list is associated with a charging member with a docking connection and in the group. Each charging member determines based on a predefined indication filter that an entry in the list that is associated with the charging member is ranked at a predefined position in the list and provides an indication.

摘要: An application executed on a device reads a portion of a memory during one of an initialization operation and a regular read operation. The application may trigger a preventative read operation during at least one regular read operation. During the preventative read operation the application selects at least one block and at least one page for the preventative read operation. The application determines a cadence for the preventative read operation. The application obtains an error correction code (ECC) status for the portion of the memory, determines if a number of errors associated with the portion is greater than a predefined ECC threshold and performs a correction, responsive to determining that a number of errors associated with the portion is greater than a predefined ECC threshold.

摘要: A radio frequency (RF) identification (RFID) tag reading system and method accurately determine true bearings of RFID tags associated with items in a controlled area. An RFID reader has an array of antenna elements and a plurality of RF transceivers. A controller controls the transceivers by steering a primary transmit beam over the controlled area by transmitting a primary transmit signal to each tag, and steering a primary receive beam at a primary steering angle by receiving a primary receive signal from each tag. The controller thereupon steers a plurality of secondary receive offset beams at different secondary steering angles that are offset from the primary steering angle by receiving secondary receive offset signals from each tag, and by processing the offset signals to determine a true bearing for each tag.

摘要: A technique for trailer loading assessment includes imaging loading of a trailer using a monitor. A next step includes detecting loading incidents related to package stacking quality during loading of the trailer using image information from the monitor. A next step includes bookmarking detected loading incidents. A next step includes scoring loading incidents. A next step includes displaying, on a graphical user interface, a visual representation of the loading incidents. The monitor can be an infrared three-dimensional depth camera operable to measure distance to a stacked wall of loaded packages, and a video camera operable to provide an optical image to detect loading incidents.

摘要: A checkout system for electro-optically reading targets includes a host, a workstation reader, and an auxiliary reader operatively connected to the workstation reader. The workstation reader captures data associated with the targets, and communicates its captured data with the host over a predetermined communications protocol. The auxiliary reader also captures data associated with the targets independently of the workstation reader. The workstation reader automatically integrates the auxiliary reader in the system by automatically detecting the protocol of the auxiliary reader, and by automatically configuring the detected protocol of the auxiliary reader to conform to the predetermined communications protocol of the workstation reader, thereby enabling the auxiliary reader to communicate its captured data with the host.

摘要: An apparatus and method for expediting self-checkout at a point-of-sale station, employ a mobile electronic device, e.g., a cellular phone, held and operated by each customer. The device images one-dimensional symbols identifying items to be purchased, decodes the one-dimensional symbols to form decoded data, combines the decoded data to form one or more two-dimensional symbols, and displays each two-dimensional symbol on a display screen. Each displayed two-dimensional symbol is presented to a window of an electro-optical scanner at the point-of-sale station. The scanner images and decodes each displayed two-dimensional symbol to form a series of decoded data indicative of all the one-dimensional symbols, and sends the series of decoded data to a host network.
