Abstract:
An awning arm bearing has a safety device to protect against upward thrust, operating between at least one support (2) and at least one bracket (4) that tilts into a deployed position from a swival axis (13). An arm (20) is mounted on the bracket (4) so as to rotate around a second axis (14) transverse to the swivel axis (13). The support (2) and the bracket (4) are coupled by a coupling rod (5) with thread (8) and checking nut (9) which allows the bracket (4) to tilt within variable limits. At least one lock (15) is coupled to the arm (20), may be moved transversely to the coupling rod (5) and locks the checking nut (9), thus the coupling rod (5), when it contacts the checking nut (9). The lock (15) may be directly pushed into multiple positive engagement with the checking nut (9) and is forcibly guided by a preferably eccentric radial cam (6) rigidly linked to the arm (20). This invention is particularly compact.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a toothed gear as used in particular in drives to pivoting devices such as are used in articulated-arm awnings or windows. One shaft (5) rests, via a zone (10), against the other shaft (3), thus ensuring that the toothed gear proposed is extremely compact and stable to knocks and blows.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fitting section (1) to take and hold various securing and/or moving components (2) of an awning. Fitting components (1) of the invention for awnings have one or two grooves (3), each with a tenon block (5) with two or one threaded holes (6) for screws (7) for securing the sections (1) to bearer arms (8). At the same time or alternatively these grooves (3) have projections (4) with attachments (9) acting together with recesses (10) in the tenon blocks (5). The sections (1) of the invention are small, rotationally and torsionally rigid, can be universally used and reinforced to any degree.
Abstract:
An automated grilling unit (1) guides prepared foodstuffs in portions from a storage container (3, 103, 203) with the aid of a removal device (10, 110, 210) and places them on a heatable conveyor unit (13, 113, 213). The conveyor unit takes the form of a mobile first plate (13, 213) or belt conveyor (113) and at least part of it can be heated. The food arrives on the conveyor in a grilling position in which the food articles are placed between the conveyor and a heating element. The heating element takes the form of a second heating plate (16, 216) or a second belt conveyor (116). After grilling, the grilled food passes through a guide and/or shredding device (23, 123, 274, 24, 124, 275) to an issuing aperture (27, 127, 276). The device according to the invention can be thoroughly cleaned and delivers rapidly high-quality grilled accompanying dishes with a constant grilling degree.
Abstract:
An improved computerized process and apparatus system for continuously monitoring the hydrogen sulfide concentration present in the atmosphere above and/or in a waste water stream, such as a sewerage stream, and for controlling based on an intra-day pattern the amount and time of injecting a calculated amount of dopant chemical into the atmosphere above the waste water stream in order to control the quantity of hydrogen sulfide which has evaporated into the atmosphere.
Abstract:
A liquid composition to be used as a rehydration drink, particularly suited for the admistration to people who do heavy work under severe conditions, e.g. at high temperatures, and to sportspeople and athletes, as well as to patients who exhibit dehydration symptoms due to severe illnesses such as diarrhoea or vomiting, contains per serving unit water at least 1 to 100 g of at least one carbohydrate, such as glucose polymers, maltodextrin and fructose; 2 to 2500 mg of at least one electrolyte, such as an alkali and/or earth alkali salt; 0,1 to 750 mg of at least one ammonia neutralizer, such as D,L-magnesium aspartate, L-arginine and glutamate; at least one energy enhancer, such as members of the vitamin B group and branched chain amino acids; at least one antioxidant such as beta -carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E and selenium; 1 to 30 mg of at least one membrane stabilizer, such as choline, betaine and methionine; and 1 to 200 mu g of at least one neuromuscular function enhancer such as octacosanol.
Abstract:
An apparatus for removing underground contaminants from a contaminated subsurface area (16) is provided. The apparatus includes releasing and/or recovering means in the form of a wellbore (12), which is aligned in the contaminated subsurface area (16) for releasing predetermined substances into selected areas of the contaminated subsurface area (16) so that the substances and contaminants are intermixed and for recovering the intermixture of substances and contaminants from selected areas of the contaminated subsurface area (16). A means (83) is provided for rotating and sliding an inner housing (68) of the wellbore (12). Predetermined substances are injected into the wellbore (12) and vacuum is applied to the wellbore (12) so that the intermixture of substances and contaminants can be extracted from the contaminated area. The intermixture of substances and contaminants are then collected and/or stored for subsequent removal in a tank (28).
Abstract:
A process and apparatus system for continuously monitoring the hydrogen sulfide concentration present in the atmosphere (14) above a waste water stream (12), such as a sewerage stream, and for controlling the amount and time of injecting a specified chemical into the waste water stream in order to control the quantity of hydrogen sulfide which would evaporate into the atmosphere (14). This system comprises the steps of obtaining a sample of atmosphere (14) above the stream (12); routing the sample of air through a sensor (24) for determining the concentration of hydrogen sulfide gas within the quantity of sampled air; determining the amount of dopant chemical to add to the waste water; sending a signal from the controller (26) to a chemical injection pump (40) for injecting the determined quantity of chemical compound into the waste water stream (12) to absorb some of the hydrogen sulfide gas; continually monitoring the stream for determining the concentration of hydrogen sulfide gas in the stream (12) following the introduction of chemical compound thereunto; and adding additional compound on a continuing basis, as needed, depending on the concentration of hydrogen sulfide within the stream (12).
Abstract:
In a lighting arrangement with at least one light source (1) and at least one optical component (2) for a device for the panoramic display of at least one image over a greater angle than 180 DEG , with at least one rotational component (5) which has at least one light exit surface (6) and can be rotated at a speed of at least 500 rpm, the component or components (2) are arranged and laid out in such a way that the light from the light source (1) generates an enlarged virtual image focussed at least approximately on infinity of an image-generating medium, e.g. a transillumination image (3) which can be observed through the light exit surface (6). The components comprise partly anamorphotic lenses, possibly a diaphragm and/or a Fresnel lens (2a). The invention makes it possible to dispense with the slatted grid usual in prior-art panoramic display devices. In addition, the arrangement can be fitted with a smaller light source.
