Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments are generally directed to navigable layering of viewable areas corresponding to a hierarchical structure of computer-readable content. In exemplary embodiments, a stack of viewable areas including a first viewable area and a second viewable area can be rendered on a display within a footprint area. An order of the viewable areas in the stack can correspond to a hierarchical relationship of computer-readable content and the viewable areas can include information associated with the hierarchical relationship. The second viewable area in the stack can be adjusted, for example, by resizing and/or repositioning the second viewable area, based on a compression criteria to accommodate the viewable areas of the stack within the footprint.
Abstract:
A method includes analyzing a cluster of conceptually-related portions of text to develop a model and calculating a novelty measurement between a first identified conceptually-related portion of text and the model. The method further includes transmitting a second identified conceptually-related portion of text and a score associated with the novelty measurement from a server to an access device via a signal. Another method includes determining at least two corpora of conceptually-related portions of text. The method also includes calculating a common neighbors similarity measurement between the at least two corpora of conceptually-related portions of text and if the common neighbors similarity measurement exceeds a threshold, merging the at least two corpora of conceptually-related portions of text into a cluster or if the common neighbors similarity measurement does not exceed a threshold, maintaining a non-merge of the at least two corpora of conceptually-related portions of text.
Abstract:
A system for managing and displaying collaborative content in a database. The database is configured to store both editor-generated content and user-generated content. The system also includes a server interfacing with the database, a display device connected to the server, a editor content module interfacing with the database and configured to display the editor-generated content on the display device, a user interface module running on the sever, a user content module configured to receive the user input from the user interface module and display the user input as user-generated content on the display device, a validation module interfacing with the user content module, wherein the validation module is configured to verify the accuracy of the user-generated content, and a bias detection module interfacing with the user content module, wherein the bias detection module is configured to detect bias in the user-generated content.
Abstract:
For automated text processing, the inventors devised, among other things, an exemplary system (100) that automatically extracts financial events from various unstructured text based sources, such as press releases and news articles. Extracted events, such as mergers & acquisitions, earnings guidance reports, and actual earnings announcements, are represented as structured data records which can be linked, searched, and displayed and used as a basis for controlling accessing to the source documents and other related financial documents for named entities.
Abstract:
Systems and techniques are disclosed for identifying a marketing opportunity by associating a set of prediction scores with a set of privately-held entities. Each of the set of prediction scores is based on a likelihood of a privately-held entity initiating an IPO over a set period of time. To derive the set of prediction scores, systems and techniques are disclosed that utilize one or more private company data, investor data, deals data, and market data associated with a privately-held entity. An accompanying confidence rating may also be provided for each of the set of prediction scores.
Abstract:
A method includes verifying, via an application chat server, an association between a first access device and a second access device, wherein the first access device and the second access device associated with a first statement of task capability and a second statement of task capability, respectively. The method further includes analyzing, based upon one or more of the first and second statements of task capability, a task command to determine that the second access device is capable of executing at least one task. The method further includes generating, in response to the determining, an execution command, wherein the execution command associated with the at least task and transmitting an execution signal, wherein the execution signal associated with the execution command.
Abstract:
A method includes receiving a corpus comprising a set of pre-segmented texts. The method further includes creating a plurality of modified pre-segmented texts for the set of pre-segmented texts by extracting a set of semantic terms for each pre-segmented text within the set of pre-segmented texts and applying at least one domain tag for each pre-segmented text within the set of pre-segmented texts. The method further includes clustering the plurality of modified pre-segmented texts into one or more conceptual units, wherein each of the one or more conceptual units is associated with one or more templates, wherein each of the one or more templates corresponds to one of the plurality of modified pre-segmented texts.
Abstract:
A professional services audit tool is disclosed that includes an application that performs a variety of functions such as completing certain audit planning processes/forms, offering a tailored set audit programs based on the assessed risks, allowing users to further tailor the suggested audit programs, and rendering these audit programs in a helpful format. The application also provides functionality to perform and document audit work, guide the auditor though the engagement process, isolate audit program steps by related assertions and identified risks to ensure that audit plans are tailored to specific risks, provide an engagement dashboard to view at a glance both the overall audit and for each audit area, the steps which are not yet started, in progress, or completed, and allow for the integration of generated documents to be automatically stored to, accessed from, and synchronized with various external engagement management systems.
Abstract:
In embodiments, a sentiment analyzer identifies a first event and accesses a first set of messages. The sentiment analyzer associates the first set of messages with the first event and analyzes the messages to identify a set of sentiment features. The set of sentiment features is used to analyze a second set of messages to form a prediction associated with a second event. The prediction may be used to facilitate an event-related service.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system for assessing internal controls including processing information and generating assessment information Financial control items may be grouped and analyzed based on user input and risk The risk is associated with an audit area and/or a transaction class Based on user input and related financial risk, testing the information, documenting and presenting the results are based In user input for the assessment and related effectiveness
