    Abstract: A security system (10) for detecting unauthorized movements of persons is described herein. The security system (10) includes at least one detection unit (12, 14) that may be linked to a conventional hospital call system (38) to indicate to the hospital staff that unauthorized movements are detected in a particular room. The detection unit (12, 14) includes a sensing element (42) and an electronic circuit (44) generating an alarm if the sensor detects movements for a predetermined duration. The security system may also include a security cover (16) to prevent a person lying on a bed (18) from falling from the bed.     Abstract: Techniques, systems and apparatus are described for implementing a telescopic contact lens. In one aspect, a telescopic contact lens includes an inner lens including optical apertures and aspheric reflectors, an outer lens of a biocompatible material, and a switching device that rapidly switches between normal and telescopic vision. The optical apertures of the inner lens includes a center aperture that allows light to pass through for normal vision and an annular aperture located on the periphery of the inner lens that allows light to enter for telescopic vision, The aspheric reflectors are configured between the annular aperture and the center aperture to reflect the light and magnify a visual image for telescopic vision.

    Abstract: This invention concerns architecture for a SIP stack that enables the addition or removal of new services without this having any impact on the other part of the stack. The user agent class contains sessions, the session class contain transactions and service implementations, while the transaction class simply contains service implementations. The user-agent class is programmed to retrieve session service implementations from the application and to attach them to session instances. The session class is programmed to receive transaction service implementations from the application, via the user agent class and to attach them to transaction instances. The proposed architecture allows an application to simultaneously support more than one version of a specific service. Added benefits also include making the customization process of these services quite easy.

    Abstract: Techniques, systems and apparatus are described for implementing a telescopic contact lens.
