The present disclosure presents compositions and methods for improving cognitive function and/or alertness of a human. In one embodiment, a method comprises: administering to the human in need of an improved condition an edible composition, wherein the composition comprises: caffeine and/or a derivative thereof; and a polyphenol, wherein the composition has a weight ratio of the total polyphenol to the total caffeine from about 1 : 10 to about 10: 1. In some embodiments, the polyphenol is a chlorogenic acid (CGA).
Abstract:
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet that defines an interior volume with a laundry basket rotatably mounted therein. The laundry basket defines a chamber for the receipt of articles for treatment. The laundry appliance also includes a heating system in thermal communication with the chamber whereby heated air flows from the heating system to the chamber. An air filter is positioned between the laundry basket and the heating system upstream of the heating system, whereby a flow of return air from the chamber passes through and is filtered by the air filter before flowing to the heating system. The laundry appliance also includes a brush in contact with the air filter along one edge of the air filter and a motor operatively connected to the air filter. The motor is configured to rotate the air filter past and across the brush to thereby clean the air filter.

Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for employing a hybrid of sequential and parallel processing to perform random sample and consensus (RANSAC). A device to perform RANSAC includes a derivation component to derive a first set of proposed models in parallel from a first set of minimal sample sets of a data set; and a comparison component to recalculate a required quantity of proposed models to derive an accurate model if a proposed model of the first set of proposed models better fits the data set than any proposed model derived prior to derivation of the first set of proposed models, and to determine whether to derive a second set of proposed models following derivation of the first set of proposed models based on a comparison of the required quantity to a quantity of previously derived proposed models that includes the first set. Systems and method may provide for a computing device that encodes multiple regions of a video frame at different quality levels. In particular, a first region of one or more frames containing a speaker's face maybe located and encoded at a first quality level. A second region containing a background, on the other hand, may be located and encoded at a second quality level. Optionally a third region containing additional faces maybe located and encoded at a third quality level and a fourth region maybe located and encoded at a fourth quality level.

The embodiments of the present invention relate to an associative alarm method and device based on management layers. The method includes: acquiring alarm information or performance data and association information about a managed object, wherein the association information shows an association relationship between the managed object and another managed object, and the managed object and other managed object are located in different management layers; based on the association information, searching for alarm information or performance data of another managed object having an association relationship with the managed object in the management layers; according to the alarm information or performance data of the managed object and the alarm information or performance data of another managed object, generating associative alarm information, with the associative alarm information being used for indicating alarm information in the network associated with the alarm information about the managed object. In the embodiments of the present invention, by way of the association information about the managed objects in different management layers, the associative alarm information in the network associated with the alarm information about the managed object can be obtained, so that whole-network monitoring can be realized.

A method and system for remotely detecting information of a Base Station (BS) antenna are provided in embodiments of the present invention, wherein the method for remotely detecting information of a base station antenna includes: receiving a detection notification message transmitted from a remote detection device, wherein detection information of a BS antenna, acquired by the remote detection device, is carried in the detection notification message (101); according to the detection information of the BS antenna, performing fault analysis and acquiring fault information of the BS antenna (102). The system for remotely detecting information of a BS antenna includes a remote detection device, a fault processing device and a communication device which links the remote detection device to the fault processing device; the remote detection device is used for detecting and acquiring detection information of the BS antenna; the communication device is used for transmitting the detection information of the BS antenna, detected and acquired by the remote detection device, to the fault processing device; the fault processing device is used for performing fault analysis according to the detection information of the BS antenna and acquiring the fault information of the BS antenna. The above method and system enable to improve the efficiency and the real-time performance of fault detection.
