Abstract: A charging method and system that applies to wireless communication field for prepaid service is provided. The method comprises that: step 1, mobile switch center emulation acquires registration information of user from home location register; step 2, the mobile switch center emulation sends call request originated from the calling user terminal to prepaid server based on the registration information, then the prepaid server sends invite message to the mobile switch center emulation to request call establishment to called user terminal; and step 3, the mobile switch center emulation establishes call connection to the called user terminal, and the prepaid server begins real-time charging after the mobile switch center emulation entered into communication state. The invention realizes prepaid charging service by using SIP protocol and prepaid server PPS.

Abstract: A method for reducing transmission and controlling resource competition in a split system, useful for a MSCe user and a TUP/ISUP user exchanging calls, wherein one is a calling office, the other is a called office. Step1: the calling office sends an IAM message to the called office, the IAM message carrying an indication that the transmission is not completed yet. Step 2: after receiving the IAM message, the called office finds out the IAM message carrying the indication that the transmission is not completed yet, occupies the circuit resource indicated in the IAM message. Step 3: the calling office sends an INF message to the called office after the transmission is completed, the message carrying an indication that the transmission is completed. Step 4: the called office receives, parses the INF message and finds out the INF message carrying the indication that the transmission is completed, then proceeds to subsequent call connection procedure. The present invention significantly reduces the time spent occupying circuit resource by the current end to receive IAM message on the corresponding end, thereby efficiently reducing the call contention upon MSCe and PSTN interconnection.
