Abstract:
A rubber composition which comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber vulcanizable with sulfur and (B) 0.1 to 30 pts.wt. of a cyclic polysulfide represented by the formula (I): (I) (wherein R represents (un)substituted C2-20 alkylene, (un)substituted C2-20 oxyalkylene, or alkylene containing an aromatic ring; n is an integer of 1 to 20; and x is a number of 2 to 6) as a vulcaziner.
Abstract:
The object of the invention is to provide crosslinking agents useful for compositions containing rubbers and/or resins excellent in storage stability and heat resistance. The object is attained by compounds of the general formula (1): (1) wherein Z is an active hydrogen group; X is an acyclic aliphatic group having 1 to 24 atoms exclusive of hydrogen, a cyclic aliphatic group having 5 to 18 atoms exclusive of hydrogen, an aromatic group having 6 to 18 atoms exclusive of hydrogen, or an alkylaryl group having 7 to 24 atoms exclusive of hydrogen, with the proviso that each group may be substituted and/or contain at least one atom or atomic group selected from the group consisting of SO2, O, N, and S; nJ 's and nJ 's are each independently a monovalent group, or J and J are united to from a divalent group; nR 's are each independently hydrogen or an acyclic aliphatic group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 4.
Abstract:
An airproof layer/adhesive laminate constituted of an airproof layer made from a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic resin as the continuous phase and a rubber composition as the dispersed phase and an adhesive composition layer formed on one surface of the airproof layer which comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer containing at least 50 parts by weight of an epoxy-modified styrene/butadiene block copolymer, 30 to 200 parts by weight (in total) of a terpene resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 1000 or below and a softening point of 60 to 120°C and an aromatic-modified terpene resin, 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of an internal mold release agent, and 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of an organic peroxide and which has an autohesive tack of less than 5N, a tack of 5N or above to green diene rubber, and a thickness of 100mum or below.
Abstract:
A rubber composition which comprises (A) 95 to 60 pts.wt., excluding 60 pts.wt., of a rubber selected among NR, IR, SBR, BR, EPM, EPDM, and a silicone rubber and/or fluororubber and (B) 5 to 40 pts.wt., excluding 40 pts.wt., of a polar polymer having a solubility parameter (Sp value) of 17.6 (Pa ) or larger and a weight-average molecular weight of 10 or higher. The rubber composition is highly reduced in the blooming of a crosslinking agent and has a high hardness. It is crosslinked with a peroxide.
Abstract:
A laminate obtained by bonding (A) a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic resin as the continuous phase and an elastomer-containing composition as the dispersed phase to (C) a diene rubber composition with (B) a hardenable pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the dynamic adhesiveness of the hardenable pressure-sensitive adhesive of the (A)/(B)/(C) laminate at high temperature and the low-temperature endurance of the thermoplastic elastomer composition layer thereof are improved by adjusting the 50% modulus values at room temperature of (A), (B) and (C) so as to satisfy the relationship: (A) > (C) > (B) and adjusting the storage modulus (E') values at 0°C of (A), (B) and (C) so as to satisfy the relationship: (A) > (B) > (C).
