Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a motor drive unit (1) configured to operate a tap changer of an electromagnetic induction device. The motor drive unit (l) comprises an induction motor (M), a tap changer drive mechanism (5) arranged to be driven by the induction motor (M), and arranged to be mechanically coupled to a tap changer (5), and a rectifier (7). Braking operation of the motor drive unit (1) is obtained by means of the rectifier (7) which provides a DC current to the induction motor (M) to thereby obtain DC braking of the motor drive unit (1). The present disclosure also relates to an electromagnetic induction device and to a method of braking a motor drive unit (1).
Abstract:
There is presented an on-off pilot stage valve arrangement (20) for controlling at least one main stage valve (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d). The on-off pilot stage valve arrangement comprises a first pilot valve (18) discretely operable between two states, an on and an off state, the first pilot valve having an input at which there is a first pressure and an output connected to the main stage valve, a second pilot valve (14) discretely operable between two states, an on and an off state, the second pilot stage valve having an input at which there is a second pressure and an output connected to said main stage valve. Both the valves are configured to be set in one of the two states in case the arrangement loses power.
Abstract:
There is presented an on-off pilot stage valve arrangement for controlling at least one main stage valve. The on-off pilot stage valve arrangement comprises a terminal. The terminal is arranged to acquire an indication of a required control action. The indication is provided by means of a discrete-valued electrical signal. The on-off pilot stage valve arrangement further comprises a pilot stage valve. The pilot stage valve is arranged to translate the discrete-valued electrical signal into a binary-valued pneumatic signal. The on-off pilot stage valve arrangement is arranged to provide the binary-valued pneumatic signal to at least one main stage valve so as to enable the at least one main stage valve to perform the required control action. There is also presented a corresponding method.
Abstract:
A valve (12) for a pressurized medium. A nozzle (1) provides the pressurized medium into the valve. A coil (7) provides a magnetic flux, the magnetic flux giving rise to an electromagnetic force. A cantilever beam (2) is arranged outside the coil and comprises a magnetic mass element. In a first state the cantilever beam (2) contacts the outlet of the nozzle (1), thereby preventing a flow of the pressurized medium to enter the valve (12) and causing the valve to be closed. In a second state the cantilever beam (2) is distanced from the outlet of the nozzle (1), thereby allowing the flow of the pressurized medium to enter the valve (12) and causing the vale to be open. The cantilever beam (2) is movable between the first state and the second state by means of enabling/disabling the electromagnetic force to act on the magnetic mass element.
Abstract:
There is presented a valve arrangement (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) for enabling a flow of a fluid to controllably pass through a valve. A chamber (3a) extends in a longitudinal direction from a first end (4a) to a second end (5a). A valve (2a) is arranged in the chamber at the first end. A closure element (6a) arranged in the chamber between the valve and the second end. A resilient elongated member (7a) placed in the chamber and arranged in said longitudinal direction. An end of the resilient elongated member is arranged at the closure element. The valve comprises a valve seat (8a) arranged to receive the closure element. The closure element is arranged to be movable in relation to the valve seat, thereby enabling a flow of a fluid to controllably pass through the valve. The resilient elongated member is bendable in a direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction, the resilient elongated member thereby being arranged to move the closure element in relation to the valve seat. There is also presented a valve system comprising at least two such valve arrangements.
