Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for redirecting a user equipment (UE) to an evolved universal terrestrial radio access (UTRA) absolute radio frequency number (EARFCN) of an evolved universal mobile telecommunications service terrestrial radio access network (EUTRAN) band with a band number greater than sixty four. For example, some embodiments are directed to an electronic device including radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to generate a channel release message and transmit, using the radio front end circuitry, the channel release message to the UE. The channel release message is configured to redirect the UE to the EARFCN of the EUTRAN band with the band number greater than sixty four.

Abstract: An approach is described for a base station to generate a first message and a second message. The base station transmits the first message and the second message to a user equipment (UE). The second message is associated with one or more neighboring cells, and includes the first PLMN identity index and a second list of one or more network slice data associated the first PLMN as supported by the one or more neighboring cells. Abstract: MBS key distribution includes processing group information associated with an MB session context received from an AF. At least a portion of the group information comprises a TMGI. A plurality of session join requests received from a plurality of UEs are processed. Each of the plurality of session join requests include the TMGI and are associated with the MB session context. A request associated with the MB session context for transmission to an MB-SMF is encoded. A response associated with the MB session context received from the MB-SMF is processed. The response includes a key derived for each of a portion of the plurality of UEs using a UE ID and the TMGI. A DL NAS message and an N2 message are encoded for the plurality of UEs and a base station, respectively. The DL NAS message and the N2 message include the derived key.

Abstract: Sidelink positioning for wireless communications may be achieved by extending the current LCS (LoCation Services) architecture, ProSe (PROximity based SErvices) architecture, and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) architecture to include sidelink positioning, e.g., during New Radio (NR) wireless communications. The existing architecture infrastructures of LCS, ProSe and V2X may be expanded to include additional signaling and/or they may be modified to incorporate communication of sidelink positioning information into existing signaling, and/or modify existing signaling to carry instructions between user equipment devices (UEs) as well as between UEs and relevant network functions either directly or via base stations when applicable.

Abstract: Techniques are described for improving service continuity for Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS) communications during handover. Techniques are included for supporting lossless handover and data forwarding during handover for peer-to-multiple (PTM) MBS transmission. Lossless handover may be achieved in part by the user equipment (UE) providing to the target base station an indication of the next packet of the MBS session to be received following an RRC reconfiguration message, and an indication of any MBS packets provided by the source base station prior to the RRC reconfiguration message that were not properly received by the UE. Data forwarding may be performed from the source base station to the target base station if the MBS session was not configured on the target base station prior to the handover. Data forwarding may be omitted if the MBS session was configured on the target base station prior to the handover.
