Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a bristle, especially for a toothbrush. A filament thread is cooled following extrusion, re-heated and stretched, and optionally heated under stress. According to the invention, the filament thread is heated without any stress or with barely any stress. This allows for additional annealing which considerably improves the wear properties of the bristle in particular.
