A cleansing bar composition comprising at least one cleanser chosen from soap and surfactant; phenoxyethanol; and one or more hydrophobic stabilizing agents, wherein the composition is a solid cleansing bar. Also methods of enhancing the deposition of phenoxyethanol by a cleansing bar comprising the step of pre-mixing phenoxyethanol with one or more hydrophobic deposition aids during manufacturing of the cleansing bar.

The hydrophobic stabilizing agent prevents the crystallization of taurine on the surface of the cleansing bar. Also methods of making the cleansing bar to inhibit crystallization of taurine in a cleansing bar.

A composition comprising a solubilized magnolol analog comprising at least one magnolol analog chosen from propyl magnolol, isopropyl magnolol, butyl magnolol, and isobutyl magnolol and a sorbitan ester. These solubilized analogs are useful in personal care, oral care, and home care compositions to provide anti -bacterial activity and reducing the expression of pro - inflammatory mediators. If isopropyl is selected, then the sorbitan ester is at least one of polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate, and a proviso that if isobutyl magnolol is selected, then the sorbitan ester is poloxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate.

An aqueous composition includes: (a) surfactants comprising a salt of a C 1O-16 alcohol ethoxylate sulfate, a betaine surfactant, and an alkyl polyglucoside, wherein the salt of the C 1O-16 alcohol ethoxylate sulfate is present in a quantity that is greater than any other surfactant; (b) at least 15 weight % of the composition of a C 12-18 fatty acid. A cleansing method includes applying the composition to skin or hair and washing, and optionally rinsing with water.

An oil containing starch granule is provided comprising: (a) a starch to form an effective matrix for said granule; (b) an oil, said oil being capable of providing a benefit-additive to a substrate upon contact therewith, said substrate being selected from the group consisting of fabrics, hard surfaces, hair and skin; and (c) an effective amount of a defined organic compound for inhibiting the migration of said oil to the surface of said starch granule.

Abstract:
An antiperspirant /deodorant liquid composition comprising a solvent, an antiperspirant and/or deodorant ingredient, a fragrance, and an alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone, wherein the alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone is soluble or dispersible in the composition. The alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone is capable of forming a film when the solvent is allowed to evaporate such that the film limits the release of the fragrance. Fragrance is released when the film is exposed to perspiration. The alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone overcomes the problem with other film forming polymers that do not form stable films in the presence of an antiperspirant and/or deodorant ingredient.
