Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for Multi cast/B roadcast Services (MBS). The embodiments described herein are directed to procedures for managing multiplexed MBS traffic, for prioritization between MBS related UL traffic, unicast UL traffic, and SL traffic, for handling HARQ retransmissions over C-RNTI, to support PDCP Status Reporting for MBS services, and for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) joining already started/ activated Multicast Sessions. In one example, a WTRU may receive multiplexed MBS services via one or more MBS radio bearers (MRB) and/or one or more unicast data radio bearers (DRBs). The WTRU may be configured with a single Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) entity for the MBS services, and demultiplexing of traffic may be performed at the SDAP layer. The WTRU may be configured to demultiplex multiple logical channels across different MBS services, where the logical channels are received over the same transport block.

Abstract: Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) management for new radio may be achieved through indication of a maximum number of beams for beamforming and/or through mechanisms for handling plural candidate SSBs. For example, a User Equipment (UE) may search a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) and/or a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) to decode a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) payload comprising and indication of a maximum number of beams (Q) supporting beamforming, e.g., in new radio unlicensed spectrum, and determine, based the indicator, Quasi Co-Located (QCL) Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSBs). Similarly, a UE may determine, from the PBCH payload, a primary DeModulation Reference Signal (DMRS) from which the UE may determine selection bits for an SSB. The UE may also determine, based a frequency range in use, to perform a secondary detection and based on the secondary detection, alter selection bits for accessing the SSB index.

Abstract: A wireless device, such as user equipment (UE) or other apparatus, like may use a transparent mode operation in which the device is not aware of the operation mode of a base station, such as a gNB or other transmission and receive point (TRP), via the use of configurations for Frame Based Equipment (FBE) and Load Based Equipment (LBE) operating modes. A base station may initiate a Channel Occupancy Time (COT) that is an FBE COT or an LBE COT, in which the wireless device follows FBE or LBE procedures accordingly. A variety of criteria may be applied in determining whether to use FBE or LBE procedures, and to switch between them. A network may use indicate the intention to switch operation mode and may do so via implicit or explicit indications. Similarly, a wireless device may autonomously switch operation mode, and may indicate the selected mode to the network.

Abstract: A Sidelink AS group management function is disclosed for a UE to discover group members and organize them into AS layer sub-groups based on the AS layer group context information. A centralized Sidelink AS group management is disclosed that the Sidelink AS Group Manager discovers group members and organizes them into AS layer sub-groups for a UE. A Subgroup formation and configuration procedure is disclosed that SL AS Group Manager organizes the ULG into AS layer sub-groups, configures UE-to-UE relays for each UE in the ULG and sends the AS group management information to the UE. A distributed Sidelink AS group management method is disclosed that each UE discovers its group members and organizes the ULG into AS layer sub-groups. New Layer 2 structures and procedures are disclosed to enhance bearer management for Sidelink groupcast communications.
