Abstract: A connector includes a body and a gate. The body has a mid portion positioned between a nose portion and a connecting portion. The nose portion terminates in a nose end. The body also has an opening positioned between the nose end and the connecting portion. The mid portion has a flexible strength member extending therethrough interconnecting the nose portion and the connecting portion. The gate has a first end coupled proximate the connection portion of the body and a second end configured and arranged to engage the nose portion of the body to selectively close the opening. The gate has a closed position when positioned across the opening and an open position when the opening is at least partially unobstructed by the gate.

Abstract: An energy absorber is provided that includes first and second strips of webbing, a plurality of tear yarns and first and second connection portions. The plurality of tear yarns couple a central section of the first strip of webbing to a central section of the second strip of webbing to form a mid portion of the first and second strips of webbing. The mid portion of the first and second strips of webbing has a centrally located unattached portion without tear yarns. The first connector portion couples a first webbing first end portion of the first strip of webbing and a second webbing second end portion of the second strip of webbing to a first connector. The second connector portion couples a first webbing second end portion of the first strip of webbing and a second webbing first end portion of the second strip of webbing to a second connector.

Abstract: A snap hook (100) that includes a body (125), a gate (180), a connection link (200) and a breakable fastener (200) is provided. A central portion (125c) of the body is positioned between an upper portion and a lower portion. The gate is pivotally coupled proximate the central portion of the body. The gate and the body selectively forming a closed configuration that defines a hook connection passage and an open configuration that provides access to the hook connection passage. An upper end of the connection link is pivotally coupled proximate the central portion of the body. A lower end of the connection link includes a body connection aperture. The breakable fastener couples the lower end of the connection link proximate the lower portion (125b) of the body.
