    Abstract: The present invention provides personal care formulations containing silane functionalized polyolefins and having improved sensory feel, as well as being non-tacky and easily spreadable on skin. The present invention also provides a method for treating the body by applying the aforesaid personal care formulations externally to the body. The present invention also provides a method for improving the sensory feel of personal care formulations by including silane functionalized polyolefins in the formulations.

    Abstract: Provided are hair care compositions comprising: (a) a polyolefin oil blend comprising (i) at least one metallocene catalyzed polyolefin with a density above 0.90 g/cm 3 , (ii) at least one metallocene catalyzed polyolefin with a density equal to or below 0.90 g/cm 3 , and (iii) a cosmetically acceptable hydrocarbon oil; (b) a thickener; and (c) a humectant; wherein the high and low density polyolefins have an average melt index greater than 7, wherein the polyolefin blend is present in a range of from 0.1 to 1.4 weight % by weight of the composition, and wherein the composition is substantially free of ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method of coupling a first compound to a second compound, the method comprising: providing the first compound having a fluorosulfonate substituent; providing the second compound comprising an amine; and reacting the first compound and the second compound in a reaction mixture, the reaction mixture including a catalyst having at least one group 10 atom, the reaction mixture including a base, the base comprising a carbonate salt, a phosphate salt or an acetate salt, the reaction mixture under conditions effective to couple the first compound to the second compound. The present disclosure further describes a one-pot method for coupling a first compound to a second compound in the presence of a mild base.
