본 발명은 습윤성이 우수한 실록산 단량체, 이를 포함하는 중합조성물 및 이를 이용하여 제조된 실리콘하이드로겔 렌즈에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 실리콘하이드로겔 렌즈는 특정한 작용기를 도입한 신규한 실록산 단량체를 포함하는 중합조성물을 이용하여 제조됨으로써 습윤성이 높아 표면의 접촉각이 향상되어 우수한 착용감의 실리콘하이드로겔 콘택트렌즈를 제공한다.

Provided is a resin composition, including: a polycarbonate resin; a biomass resin having a hydroxy group; a rubber having a siloxane bond and having a functional group reactive with a hydroxy group; a flame retardant; and a drip preventing agent, in which: when a total of all the components is defined as 100 mass%, contents of the components are: biomass resin having a hydroxy group: 5 mass% or more to 25 mass% or less, the rubber having a siloxane bond and having a functional group reactive with a hydroxy group: 1 mass% or more to 9 mass% or less, the flame retardant: 3 mass% or more to 20 mass% or less, and the drip preventing agent: 0.1 mass% or more to 5 mass% or less; and a mass ratio of the biomass resin having a hydroxy group to the polycarbonate resin is 0.35 or less.

Embodiments relate to fluid flow improvers containing a copolymer with a siloxane group incorporated thereto. The fluid flow improvers may include polymer/copolymer having the characteristic of inhibiting wax/paraffin crystalline growth, modifying wax/paraffin crystal growth, dispersing of wax/paraffin, preventing the deposition of wax/paraffin, aiding the removal of wax/paraffin or depressing of the pour point of a wax/paraffin-containing fluid. The fluid flow improvers described may be employed alone, or may be used in combination with one or more additives for improving the low temperature flowability and/or other properties and may also be employed in combination with one or more organic solvents and/or aqueous solvents.

Provided herein are poly(alkylene-b-dialkylsiloxane-b-alkylene) triblock copolymers that may be suitable for membrane fabrication and/or pervaporation applications. Specifically, such triblock copolymers may be used in methods of separating one or more organic compounds from an aqueous solution using membranes derived from such triblock copolymers.

A curable coating composition and the use, especially in heat exchangers, for heating and/or cooling water, in particular tap water, is described. The curable coating comprises, based on solids after curing, 35-80% by weight of an epoxysilane according to the general structure 1 and/or its hydrolysation and/or condensation products, 1 : R 1 R 2 a SiR 3 b with R1 being 3-glycidyloxypropyl, R 2 being methyl, R 3 being alkyloxy or acyloxy, a being 0, 1 or 2 and b being 3 -a and 20 - 65% by weight of a blocked polyisocyanate and optionally further components. The coating provides improved corrosion protection on aluminium surfaces, reduces limescale formation on heat exchanger surfaces and is able to withstand lateral and/or temporal temperature gradients when coated on heat exchanging surfaces.

The present invention relates to a polymers and hydrogels comprising a sulfonic acid component formed from reactive components comprising (i) at least one hydrophobic monomer and (ii) at least one sulfonic acid-containing component, wherein the sulfonic acid-containing component is comprised of a salt formed by a non-polymerizable, hydrophilic base and a polymerizable sulfonic acid. One or more embodiments provide that the at least one hydrophobic monomer comprises a silicone component.

The present invention provides curable compositions comprising non-tin metal accelerators that accelerate the condensation curing of moisture-curable silicones/non-silicones. In particular, the present invention provides an accelerator comprising guanidine-containing compounds that are particularly suitable as replacements for organotin in sealant and RTV formulations. Further, the compositions employing a guanidine-containing compound is comparable or superior to organotin such as DBTDL, exhibits certain behavior in the presence of components that allow for tuning or adjusting the cure characteristics of the compositions, and provides good adhesion and storage stability.
