The composition, which also comprises a nonionic and anionic surfactant as described herein, is useful in a variety of applications ranging from architectural coatings to personal care products.

A method of preparing the multifunctional organosilicon compound is also provided. The method comprises reacting (A) an organosilanol compound and (B) a silane compound having at least two hydrolysable groups. A functionalized siloxane compound prepared from the multifunctional organosilicon compound, a method of preparing the functionalized siloxane compound, and an adhesive comprising the functionalized siloxane compound are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of acrylate-siloxane copolymer particles comprising structural units of an acrylate monomer; an acid monomer; and a siloxane acrylate monomer of formula I: where R, R1, R2, Y and x are as defined herein. The composition has a high solids content, a low concentration of siloxane acrylate monomer and low coagulum levels. The composition is useful for forming coatings with improved hydrophobicity, stain resistance, and aesthetic/haptic properties compared with conventional all-acrylic compositions.

Abstract: A method of preparing an organosilanol compound is disclosed. The method comprises reacting (A) an initial organosilicon compound and (B) water in the presence of (C) a catalyst. The catalyst (C) is selected from: (C1) [(C 8 H 12 irCI] 2 [(p-cymene)RuCl 2 ] 2 ; and (C3) Pd/C. Abstract: A curable silicone rubber composition of the type referred to in industry as "self-adhesive" or as having "selective adhesion" (hereafter referred to as "curable self-adhesive silicone rubber compositions"). The curable self-adhesive silicone rubber compositions comprise: (A) one or more organopolysiloxanes containing at least 2 alkenyl groups and/or alkynyl groups per molecule and having a viscosity in a range of 1000mPa.s to 200,000mPa.s at 25°C; (B) an organopolysiloxane containing at least 2 or 3 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; (C) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst; (D) at least one reinforcing and optionally one or more non-reinforcing fillers; (E) an adhesion promoter; and (F) an oligomer which has been found to surprisingly provide heat-humidity stabilization.

Abstract: A curable composition is disclosed. The curable composition comprises (I) an epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer and (II) an aminosiloxane. The epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer comprises acrylate-derived monomeric units comprising siloxane moieties, epoxide-functional moieties, and optionally, hydrocarbyl moieties, and the aminosiloxane comprises an average of at least two amine functional groups per molecule. A method of preparing the curable composition is also disclosed, and includes reacting (A) an acryloxy-functional organosilicon component, (B) an epoxy-functional acrylate component, and optionally (C) an acrylate component, to give the epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer (I), and combining the epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer (I) with the aminosiloxane (II). An aminosiloxane-silicone-acrylate copolymer prepared with the composition, a cured product comprising the same, and methods of preparing the same, are also disclosed.
