Abstract:
Tunnel oven (3) and associated method for the heat treatment of friction elements (2), and in particular of braking elements such as brake pads, wherein the friction elements are arranged on a resting surface (10) of a conveyor device (9) and moved between an inlet opening and an outlet opening of the tunnel oven and are heated by irradiation by at least one heating device (11) including a radiating plate (12) in stainless steel arranged facing the conveyor device and heated by electromagnetic induction by means of at least one inductor (13) arranged facing the radiating plate and spaced apart therefrom on the side opposite to the conveyor device; between the resting surface (10) and the radiating plate (12) being directed in counterflow to a feeding direction (D) of the conveyor device.
Abstract:
Method and system (1) for powder coating non electrically conductive elements (2), preferably brake pads, wherein upstream of an electrostatic powder coating (5) deposition station (4) and a baking station (6) for melting and polymerizing the powder coating in order to form a coating layer (9) on a surface to be coated, there is a pre-treatment station (3) which causes the elements to be coated to conduct electrically by uniformly wetting said elements by means of creating poorly mineralized water covalent bonds on at least one surface (8) to be coated, in an amount aimed at producing a measurable weight increase in the non electrically conductive elements (2), which then causes them to conduct electrically; the water adsorbed and/or deposited is subsequently eliminated within baking station (6).
Abstract:
Method and plant (1) for the thermal treatment of friction elements (2) including a convective heating step which is performed within a convective tunnel oven (5); wherein the friction elements are arranged laid, in an orderly manner, upon a plurality of trays (16) each having a perforated resting plate (18) upon which the friction elements (2) are laid in a position next to one another only, but not overlapped; and wherein the trays (16) are piled up on top of each other whilst being kept distanced from one another in a stacking direction by an amount that is greater than the thickness of the friction elements; groups (19) of piled up trays containing the friction elements being arranged side by side on belt conveyor means (10) that pass through the tunnel oven (5) such as to transport the friction elements (2) through the tunnel oven.
