Abstract: One embodiment provides a remotely controllable gas engine replacement device (10) including a housing (14), a battery receptacle (54) coupled to the housing (14), the battery receptacle (54) configured to removably receive a battery pack (50), a motor (36) located within the housing (14), a power take-off shaft (38) receiving torque from the motor (36) and protruding from a side of the housing (14), a power switching network (310) configured to selectively provide power from the battery pack (50) to the motor (36), and one or more remote control device interfaces (152) configured to communicate with the remote control device (150). The remotely controllable gas engine replacement device (10) also includes an electronic processor (302) coupled to the power switching network (310) and the remote control device interface (10). The electronic processor (302) configured to control the power switching network (310) to rotate the motor (36), receive a control signal from the remote control device (150), and execute a responsive action to the control signal from the remote control device (150).
