The present invention relates to a method for managing data in a system, preferably M2M data in a M2M system, comprising one or more devices communicating with one or more users via a network, wherein a data filtering according to one or more different filters is performed within the communication path from said devices to said users, wherein for data filtering the following steps are performed: a) Quantizing for each of said filters value information, preferably a range of values, according to a Quality of Information assessment of data and related to the corresponding filter, b) Determining data amount filtering information, preferably in form of a threshold, for each value information indicating the amount of information to be filtered, c) Providing filter information for each filter being used for filtering comprising the corresponding determined amount filtering information and category assignment information, wherein category assignment information indicates an assignment of a filter to a predefined, appropriate data category, d) Providing current importance category information for one or more of the data categories, and e) Applying a common calculation procedure for said filters on all amount filtering information for updating them to current importance category information. The present invention further relates to a filtering module and a system for managing data.

For allowing a simple and reliable differentiation of UEs behind a GW from an AF side a method for providing access of an User End device (UE) to a service provided by an Application Function (AF) within a network structure is claimed, wherein the UE is authenticated by a Gateway (GW) to which the UE is attached and which provides access to the AF via a Broadband Access Network (BB Access Network). The method is characterized in that the GW informs a state database (SDB) on service flow requests to or from the authenticated UE towards the AF, that the GW additionally sends NAT (Network Address Translation) or NAPT (Network Address and Port Translation) binding information of a respective NAT or NAPT binding created by the GW regarding the authenticated UE and a respective service flow request to the SDB and that the SDB sends the NAT or NAPT binding information or an UE identifier to the AF, so that the AF - after having received the service flow request from the GW - can correlate the authenticated UE with the service flow request. Further an according network structure is claimed, preferably for carrying out the above mentioned method.

For allowing a reliable and high performance of a network by simple means a method for operating a network is claimed, wherein the network is comprising a server and at least one client for communication with the server, wherein an application computation or operation will be performed by the server and wherein a result of the application computation or operation will be displayed at the client. The method is characterized in that a network element will be provided for use by the client, wherein the network element is performing at least one application computation or operation on behalf of the server. For allowing an enhancement of diversity of network applications in a simple way a method for operating a network, especially an IP (Internet Protocol) network, is claimed, wherein a local network is in connection with the network via a gateway and wherein a UE (User Equipment) of the local network is performing a session setup by communicating with a functional entity of the network in order to communicate with or to start a UE-related and/or session-related application. The method is characterized in that the application is communicating with a local network controller, wherein the network controller is receiving a UE-related and/or session-related parameter (LID - Local Identifier) from the application for locating a UE and/or a specific session within the local network based on the received parameter. For facilitating the assessment of a building's performance and providing information for a suitable configuration for energy savings a method for monitoring a building management system, BMS, is claimed, wherein data points within an observation window are observed, further comprising the following steps: statistically analysing the observations by a statistical measure, to obtain statistical data or a statistical characteristic of the observations, and detecting a logical and/or physical misconfiguration and/or deterioration of the BMS or of a sensor, actuator or sub-system of the BMS and/or detecting a change to the core and/or shell of the building, based on a deviating of the obtained statistical data or statistical characteristic of the observations from an expected statistical characteristic or feature. The present invention relates to a method for roaming of a user equipment in a visited mobile communication network, comprising the steps of a) Registering the user equipment to the visited network other than a home network of the user equipment b) Forwarding signaling for home service functions of the user equipment from the visited network to the home network c) Executing home service functions in the home network d) Returning results of the executed home service functions to the user equipment in the visited network e) At least part of the home service functions of the home network are virtualized, f) The virtualized home service functions are transferred to the visited network for the respective user equipment by using a service cloud network connected to the home network and the visited network, and g) The virtualized home service functions are executed in the service cloud network and/or in the visited network. For allowing a reliable energy supply from different energy utilities or energy grids with high efficiency a method for controlling energy supply to a client is claimed, wherein the client is connected to at least two energy utilities or energy grids for receiving energy for operating its energy systems and wherein a demand request signal is provided by at least one operation unit and/or by at least one of said energy utilities and/or energy grids for requesting a demand modification with regard to at least one energy system of the client. The method is characterized in that a functional entity is balancing the energy supply to the client, so that a supply of energy from the at least two energy utilities or energy grids to the client is provided under consideration of the demand request signal or signals in a complementary way.
