Abstract:
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods for using said compositions which comprise: a) an effective amount of a magnetic resonance imaging agent, for example, a complex having the formula: b) the balance carriers and other adjunct ingredients. It has been surprisingly discovered that by increasing the lipophilicity of MRI imaging agents, the ability to target different types of body tissue is greatly enhanced. The complexes of the present invention provide enhanced imaging. of arteries and veins, as well as nephric tissue imaging.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing cobalt complexes having the formula: [Co(NH3)5M] Ty wherein M ligands are selected from substituted and unsubstituted C1-C30 carboxylic acids having the formula: RC(O)O-; said method comprising reacting cobalt complexes having the formula: [Co(NH3)5X] Ty (e.g., X is chlorine) with concentrated ammonium hydroxide followed by carboxylic acid anhydride of the formula: RC(O)O(O)CR.
Abstract:
The first aspect of the present invention relates to transition metal complexes having the formula (I) or (II) wherein M is a radioactive metal having a valence of +2, +3, +4, or +5; m designates the charge of the metal complex, each R is independently C1-C8 linear or branched alkyl, a fifth ligand, and mixtures thereof; B is a bridging unit which comprises at least 2 carbon atoms; L is a pharmaceutically acceptable ligand; X is a pharmaceutically compatible anion in sufficient amount to provide electronic neutrality. The complexes of the present invention are suitable for use in diagnostic, therapeutic or radiotherapeutic or chemotherapeutic compositions for visualization, therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy of tissues or organs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a cross-bridged tetraaza macrocyclic ligand having formula (I) wherein each R is independently C1-C8 linear or branched alkyl, -(CH2)xCO2M, and mixtures thereof; provided both of the R units are not methyl; M is hydrogen or a salt forming cation; x is from 1 to 6; each index n is independently from 0 to 3; by contacting a di-quaternary cis tetracycle precursor with hydrogen in the presence of a palladium catalyst in an aqueous solution having a pH of at least about 10 at a temperature of about 40 DEG C to about 100 DEG C.
Abstract:
Laundry or cleaning composition comprising: (a) a catalytically effective amount, preferably from about 1 ppb to about 99.9 %, of a transition-metal bleach catalyst which is a complex of a transition-metal and a cross-bridged macropolycyclic ligand; and (b) at least about 0.1 % of one or more laundry or cleaning adjunct materials, preferably comprising an oxygen bleaching agent. Preferred compositions are laundry compositions and automatic dishwashing detergents which provide enhanced cleaning/bleaching benefits through the use of such catalysts.
