Abstract: A remote UE or a relay UE may identify a configuration for a relocation of one or more session termination points associated with one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UEto the relay UE. The remote UE or the relay UE may execute the relocation of the one or more session termmation points associated with the one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UE to the relay UE based on the configuration. The session termination point relocation may be controlled by the remote UE, the relay UE, or a network entity. The remote UE may transmit or receive data with a network via the relay UE based on the relocation of the one or more session termmation points.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring and triggering conditional handover for UE mobility between a direct connection to the base station (Uu connection) and/or a relay connection (PC5 connection). Specifically, the conditional handover configuration may include preparing multiple candidate relay UEs for handover (e.g., from Uu connection to PC5 connection) and conditional handover execution criteria for relay selection (or reselection) for the UE. Similarly, features of the present disclosure provide techniques for conditional handover transition from a PC5 connection back to Uu connection when conditional handover execution criteria are met (e.g., sidelink signal strength between the two UEs falls below a channel condition threshold). Additionally, the techniques provided herein support for conditional handover of the relay UEs from a first base station to a second station while the relay UE is further supporting one or more remote UEs.

A method performed by a user equipment, UE, includes establishing (605) a first access link, associated with a first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a first base station; establishing (610) a second access link, associated with the first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a second base station; establishing (615) a third access link associated with a second SIM of the UE; determining (620) a need for reduced capability on the second access link to communicate on the third access link; transmitting (625) an indication of the need for the reduced capability to the second base station; and communicating (630) on the third access link using the second SIM simultaneously with communicating on the second access link using the first SIM, wherein communicating on the second access link is at the reduced capability.

The message may also carry a session connectivity request, which the base station may use to determine that the UE is a drone-coupled wireless device, establish a bearer appropriate for a subscription service of the UE (e.g., as indicated by the drone capability), and apply appropriate protocols for the UE.

Abstract: Various techniques are proposed to enhance or expand the capabilities or usage of buffer status request (BSR) and scheduling request (SR) in new radio (NR) applications. In an implementation, techniques are proposed to extend the SR in long term evolution (LTE) baseline with additional information to help a base station (e.g., gNB) schedule faster and more efficiently. Moreover, a new BSR triggering condition is proposed to report new data based on particular events instead of being time-based. Modifications being proposed to both BSR and SR can be customized for different numerologies/transmission time intervals (TTIs). Modifications being proposed to SR can also be used to indicate a user equipment (UE) new beam selection after recovering from a beam failure.
