    Abstract: A UE and a base station are disclosed. The UE may receive, from a base station, an indication of a configuration of an SS and a set of candidate DL-RSs associated with a plurality of CG-SDT resources. The base station may monitor for the EIL data transmission from the LIE corresponding to a CG-SDT occasion of the CG-SDT resources. The UE may measure a RSRP of each of the set of candidate DL-RSs associated with the CG-SDT resources. The UE may select an UL beam based on the measured RSRP of each of the set of candidate DL-RSs associated with the CG-SDT resources. The UE may transmit, to the base station via the selected UL beam, the UL data transmission over a CG-SDT occasion of the plurality of CG-SDT resources. The UE may monitor the SS for a response to the UL data transmission from the base station.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive at least one uplink transmission request in a paging message, the at least one uplink transmission request including at least one of at least one preconfigured sequence, a set of downlink reference signals, or a set of time or frequency locations for uplink resources. The apparatus may also measure a RSRP of the set of candidate SSBs in the at least one uplink transmission request. Additionally, the apparatus may determine at least one uplink beam for uplink transmissions based on the set of downlink reference signals. The apparatus may also receive uplink timing synchronization information based on the at least one uplink transmission request.

    Abstract: Wireless communication techniques that include multi-beam techniques for small data transfer (SDT) over preconfigured uplink resources (PURs) are discussed. A UE may receive an indication of at least one PUR allocated for uplink communication when the UE does not have a RRC connection with a base station. The at least one PUR may include one or more distinct PUR occasions. The UE may also receive an indication of one or more distinct SSBs associated with the one or more distinct PUR occasions. Each PUR occasion of the one or more distinct PUR occasions may be associated with only one SSB of the one or more distinct SSBs. The UE may also transmit information to the base station during a PUR occasion associated with an SSB that is associated with a RSRP that is greater than a threshold. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to differentiate random access response types, such that a user equipment (UE) may identify a random access response for the UE. A UE may transmit a random access message that may be associated with a first type of random access response. The base station may be configured to communicate different types of random access responses, and may configure a random access response and an associated downlink control signal to correspond to the first type of random access response. The base station may transmit the downlink control signal to the UE by configuring different demodulation reference signals, different group identifiers, different search spaces or control resource sets, or different downlink control information. The UE may determine that the random access response is of the first type and may receive the random access response based on the decoded downlink control signal.
