    Abstract: An apparatus including a substrate with at least three sides and an active stack on the substrate. The active stack can include a first transparent conductive layer, a second transparent conductive layer, an anodic electrochemical layer, and a cathodic electrochemical layer. The apparatus can also include a first bus bar set comprising a plurality of bus bars, wherein each bus bar of the first bus bar set is electrically coupled to the first transparent conductive layer, a second bus bar set comprising a plurality of bus bars, wherein each bus bar of the second bus bar set is electrically coupled to the second transparent conductive layer, and a bus bar arrangement wherein the bus bar arrangement comprises a bus bar from the first bus bar set and a bus bar from the second bus bar set on at least three sides of the substrate.

    Abstract: A display framing system is disclosed. The display framing system can include a first pane and a framing system to support the first pane. The framing system can include a first side. The display framing system can also include a transparent electroactive device and a support system coupled to the transparent electroactive device and coupled to the first side of the framing system. The support system can include a body that is orthogonal to the first side of the framing system. In one embodiment, the first pane can include an electrochromic device.

    Abstract: A frameless support system for electroactive devices is disclosed. The frameless system can include a non-penetrating mount, a first electroactive device, and a second electroactive device adjacent the first electroactive device where the non-penetrating mount connects the first electroactive device to the second electroactive device, and where the non-penetrating mount is on only a single surface of the first and second electroactive devices. In a further embodiment, and least one of the first and second electroactive devices can further include: a substrate; a first transparent conductive layer; a second transparent conductive layer between the substrate and the first transparent conductive layer; an electrochromic layer between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer; and an anodic electrochemical layer between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer.

    Abstract: An electrochromic device is disclosed. The electrochromic device can include a stack of layers. The stack of layers can include a first transparent conductive layer on a substrate, a second transparent conductive layer, a cathodic electrochromic layer between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer, and an anodic electrochromic layer between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer. The stack of layers can be patterned. In one embodiment, the pattern can be parallel to a voltage gradient of the electrochromic device. In another embodiment, the pattern can extend through all layers of the stack of layers of the electrochromic device.

    Abstract: A device for enhanced microwave permeability through a coated transparent substrate includes a first surface of the device and a second surface of the device each forming an exterior boundary of the device. The device includes a first section extending through the device from the first surface to the second surface. The first section enhances a permeability of a first microwave band through the coated transparent substrate. The device also includes a second section extending through the device from the first surface to the second surface. The second section enhances a permeability of a second microwave band through the coated transparent substrate. The device further includes a third section extending through the device. The third section includes a location where the first section and the second section merge. The third section enhances a permeability of a third microwave band through the coated transparent substrate.
