    Abstract: An apparatus for driving an electro-optic display may comprise spaced first and second device layers, and a first and second rows of display pixels, each row may include a plurality of display pixels, each display pixel having a pixel electrode positioned on the first device layer for driving the display pixel, a conduction line positioned on the second device layer and overlapping with a portion of the plurality of display pixels' pixel electrodes, and at least one conductive path connecting the conduction line of the first row to a conduction line of the second row of display pixels.

    Abstract: A controller system configured to clear an electro-optic device may include an electro-optic device having a first substrate having a first surface and a second surface, the second surface having a first layer of electrically conductive material disposed thereon; a second substrate having a first surface having a second layer of electrically conductive material disposed thereon, and a second surface, the second substrate being approximately parallel to the first substrate such that a chamber is defined by the first and second substrates; and an electro-optic medium disposed in the chamber defined by the first and second substrates and in contact with the first and second layers of electrically conductive material; a controller in communication with the electro-optic device, wherein the controller is configured to control electrical power supplied to the electro-optic device and a potentiometer in communication with the electro-optic device and with the controller.

    Abstract: A device for enhanced microwave permeability through a coated transparent substrate includes a first surface of the device and a second surface of the device each forming an exterior boundary of the device. The device includes a first section extending through the device from the first surface to the second surface. The first section enhances a permeability of a first microwave band through the coated transparent substrate. The device also includes a second section extending through the device from the first surface to the second surface.     Abstract: An electro-active lens provides simultaneous focusing at two different optical powers. It does this with a stack of electro-active lens elements aligned along the same optical axis that each focus light in different polarization states (e.g., horizontal and vertical polarization states). If a first and second electro-active lens elements have different optical powers, light in a first polarization state can be focused to one optical power and light in a second polarization state can be focused to a different optical power simultaneously. The electro-active lens can be switched between different single and multiple optical powers. People with presbyopia may use the electro-active lens mounted in eyewear in place of conventional bifocal glasses. The electro-active lens may also be used in a scope to improve target aiming.
