Abstract:
A method (300) and a system (200) for determining a temperature (T tot ) for pressurized fuel included in a high pressure fuel system (250) arranged for providing fuel to an engine (101) are presented. The method (300) includes determining a first temperature (T 1 )for a first fuel volume (V 1 ) included in a first section (251) of the high pressure fuel system (250), where the first section (251) includes a common rail fuel system (253). The method (300) further includes determining a second temperature (T 2 ) for a second fuel volume (V 2) included in a second section (252) of the high pressure fuel system (250), where the second section (252) includes at least one fuel injector (271, 272, 273,..., 27n) arranged in a cylinder head (280) of the engine (101). The method (300) also includes the step of determining the temperature (T tot ) for the pressurized fuel based at least on the first temperature (T 1 ) and on the second temperature (T 2 ); T tot =f(T 1 , T 2 ).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for determining pressure in a fuel accumulator tank of a multi cylinder internal combustion engine during engine operation. Pressurised fuel is intended to be distributed from said accumulator tank to the cylinders by means of fuel injectors so as to rotate a crankshaft of the engine. A pump unit is provided for providing pressurised fuel to said accumulator tank by means of pump actions comprising pump strokes. The method comprises the step of determining (S1) the pressure in the fuel accumulator tank based upon a pressure sampling in connection to at least one earlier fuel injection as a basis for controlling fuel injection to an individual cylinder. The method further comprises the step of performing (S1a) said pressure sampling based upon the relationship between the number of pump strokes and the number of injections per crank shaft revolution such that said pressure sampling occurs in connection to a fuel injection where the mutual relationship between that fuel injection and the pump action reoccurs at the fuel injection for which the determined pressure is intended to form a basis. The present invention also relates to a system for determining pressure in a fuel accumulator tank of a multi cylinder internal combustion engine during engine operation. The present invention also relates to a vehicle. The present invention also relates to a computer program and a computer program product.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for error detection in a fuel-supply system comprising a feed device (260) for achieving a fuel-supply pressure (P-rail) in an engine (280) and a valve device (250) via which fuel is supplied to the feed device (260) from a container (230), in addition to devices (287) for identifying said fuel-supply pressure (P_rail) in said engine (280). The method comprises the steps of: - determining (s410) a prevailing operating status in said engine (280): - determining (s415) whether said determined operating status corresponds to a predetermined operating status, which operating status is regarded as stationary; - continuously determining (s420) a progression in said fuel-supply pressure (P_rail) during said predetermined operating status. The method also comprises the steps of: determining (s430) the number of occasions (N) within a specified period (DT) said fuel-supply pressure (P_rail) alternately reaches a maximum or minimum value (max1, mini, max2, min2, max3, min3) that deviates from a predetermined reference value (P_rail_ref) by more than a predetermined deviation value; - if said number of occasions (N) exceeds a specified value (TH), taking this as an indication that said valve device (250) is not functioning as intended. The invention relates also to a computer programme product comprising programme code (P) for a computer (200; 210) for implementing a method according to the invention. The invention relates also to a device and a motor vehicle equipped with the device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method pertaining to changing gear in a power train of a motor vehicle (100; 110) provided with an engine (230), a clutch device (240) and a gearbox (250) without synchronising rings. The method comprises the step of demanding (s310) gear ratio change in said gearbox (250). The method comprises also the steps of interrupting torque transmission (s330) between said engine (230) and said gearbox (250) by means of said clutch device (240), choosing (s340) an engine speed set-point value (n_ref), determining (s360) whether said engine (230) responds to a demand for said engine (230) to be directed towards said speed set-point value (n_ref), and changing gear ratio (s370) if said engine (230) responds to said demand. The invention relates also to a computer programme product comprising programme code (P) for a computer (200; 210) for implementing a method according to the invention. The invention relates also to a device and a motor vehicle (100; 110) equipped with the device.
