Abstract: An apparatus includes a case (19), a motor (MG1), a gear mechanism, a lubrication mechanism, and a cooling mechanism. The motor (MG1) and the gear mechanism are housed in the case (19). The gear mechanism includes a specified gear (46) and a first gear (40). A vertical lower section of the first gear (40) is positioned above a surface of the oil. The lubrication mechanism lubricates the gear mechanism by the oil thrown up by the specified gear (46). The cooling mechanism includes an oil pump (37) and a pipe (58). The oil pump and the pipe (58) supply the oil reserved in the case (19) to the motor. The pipe (58) is located above the first gear (40). The pipe (58) has a hole (62), and the oil is discharged from the hole (62). The hole (62) is positioned above the first gear (40). A normal line direction of the hole (62) differs from a vertically downward direction. The first gear (40) does not overlap the normal line direction.
