Abstract:
A system and a method in which supplemental information related to a first entity of a transaction is provided to a second entity of the transaction are provided. In a method conducted at an authorization server associated with the user, a transaction message including an amount associated with the transfer of funds, an account identifier of the recipient, and an access credential of the user is received from a mobile device of the user. In some embodiments, if a permission indication indicates that the requested supplemental information may be shared with the recipient, a transaction request message is generated including the amount, the account identifier and the requested supplemental information. A response message is transmitted for receipt by a transport computer associated with the recipient for processing the transaction and conditional forwarding of the requested supplemental information to the recipient.
Abstract:
A method and system provide interoperable electronic financial services using mobile communications devices and without the need for traditional banking systems like plastic cards, POS machines, branches and ATMs. A consumer can deposit and/or withdraw money from his account using his mobile device and with the help of a local agent without ever stepping inside a branch of a bank where the consumer has an account. The system uses the consumers ID and his mobile number to generate a PAN for the consumer, which is then used to route the transactions. The system uses indicators in the transaction to identify transaction purpose and thus enable appropriate interchange, clearing and settlement between participating entities. The system provides real-time feedback on the transactions and reduces costs by enabling an agent to service consumers of multiple banks and payment service providers.
Abstract:
Provided are a system, method, and computer program product for an account-to-account transaction network. The method includes receiving, via a first application programming interface (API), a transaction request for a transaction including a transaction amount, an issuer identifier, and a merchant identifier. The method includes determining an issuer uniform resource locator (URL) based on the issuer identifier, generating an intent identifier associated with the transaction request, and transmitting the issuer URL and the intent identifier via the first API. The method includes transmitting the intent identifier, the transaction amount, and the merchant identifier to an issuer system associated with the issuer identifier via a second API. The method includes, in response to receiving an authenticated consent identifier from the issuer system, determining a merchant account identifier and an issuer account identifier, and transmitting a combined authorization and settlement message to cause settlement for the transaction amount.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for processing a financial transaction are provided. In a method conducted at an issuing server computer associated with a first entity, a transaction request message is transmitted to an acquiring server computer associated with a second entity. The transaction request message is in respect of a push transaction in which funds from the first entity are transferred to the second entity and includes a first set of data elements. In response to transmitting the transaction request message, a transaction response message and a second set of data elements are received. The second set of data elements are associated with the first set of data elements and the financial transaction is processed using information contained in the first set of data elements and the second set of data elements.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus, and method includes infrastructure and processes to enable a consumer to register their mobile phone number and associate that number with a payment account. After registration, the consumer may use their mobile phone to initiate or perform one or more stages of a payment transaction. The payment transaction is recognized as being initiated or performed by a mobile phone, and in response a server may authenticate the transaction based on the mobile phone number and a previous registration and authentication process. In other embodiments, the server may recognize the payment transaction as being initiated or performed by a mobile phone, and in response contact the consumer using the mobile phone to request confirmation of the consumer's desire to perform the transaction.
Abstract:
A new processing method is disclosed. The processing method includes receiving by a server computer, an update request message from a first authorizing computer for an interaction between two users. The update may be a transfer of interaction value from a first user to a second user, and may include such interaction details as the interaction value and information for a one-way token. The server computer may parse the update request message to determine the one-way token, and may determine a second account of the second user from the token. The server computer may determine a second authorizing computer associated with the second account, and may modify the update request message to include a second user account identifier as well as value adjustments based on calculated interaction velocities. The server computer may forward the update request message to the second authorizing computer for updating the account accordingly.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for conversion of an entity identifier to a primary account number. A method performed at a server including: receiving as an input an entity identifier formed of: a first set number of digits identifying an issuer institution; a variable number of additional digits identifying the entity at the issuer institution; and a check digit; converting the entity identifier to a primary account number including: ascertaining the issuer institution from the first set of digits; determining a required number of padding digits to increase the number of digits of the entity identifier to a number of digits in a required standard form of a primary account number; and padding the entity identifier with the required number of padding digits in predefined positions in relation to the entity identifier to result in a standard form of primary account number; and carrying out further processing using the padded entity identifier as a primary account number.
Abstract:
A mobile tangible value banking system is disclosed. A mobile tangible value banking system enables a consumer entity to make a withdrawal from or deposit to their bank account by physically exchanging tangible value with a banking agent and correspondingly verifying the deposit or withdrawal using a mobile device. The consumer entity and the banking agent may be mobile and free to meet in a predetermined location, which may allow banking services to enter remote areas of emerging markets.
