    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a single-use filter component for removing NO2 in an air-treatment system, the component comprising a polymeric composition as an air-filtration medium, the polymeric composition comprising a plurality of free vinyl groups, wherein the component permits inspection of the air-filtration medium by an end-user to determine when the filter is spent, based on a white to yellow colour change, or comprises an optical sensor configured to notify the end-user of the colour change. The present disclosure further relates to a single-use filter component for simultaneously removing NO2 in an air-treatment system, wherein the component comprises a HEPA filter formed from a polymeric composition comprising a plurality of free vinyl groups. The present disclosure further relates to an air treatment system, to a method of treating air and to the use of a polymer or copolymer of divinylbenzene for forming an air-filtration medium.

    Abstract: A tube seal device suitable for use in a heat exchange reactor comprising one or more tubes is described, said tube seal device comprising a seal tube and an inner tube disposed within the seal tube to provide an overlapping region, said inner tube having within said overlapping region, (i) an interior constriction of reduced cross sectional area forming a low-pressure region, (ii) an expansion region adjacent the constriction of cross sectional area greater than that of the constriction, and (iii) one or more passages through the wall of the inner tube connecting said low-pressure region to the exterior of the inner tube, wherein the tube seal device further comprises one or more grooves formed around an inner face of the seal tube in the overlapping region corresponding to the low-pressure region of the inner tube.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a catalyst article comprising steps: (a) preparing a washcoat composition by combining at least the following components: a support material comprising a mixed oxide, a mixture of oxides or a molecular sieve comprising (i) alumina and (ii) silica and/or zirconia; a metal oxide sol comprising at least one of titania, silica or zirconia; a liquid medium; (b) applying the washcoat composition to a substrate to form a washcoating; and (c) drying and/or calcining the washcoating; wherein the method further comprises a step of impregnating the support material with a platinum group metal component. The prepared catalyst article may be suitable for the treatment of emissions from an internal combustion engine or a gas turbine, for example, the treatment of carbon monoxide and/or formaldehyde emissions from a natural gas fueled internal combustion engine or gas turbine. The invention further relates to a washcoat composition for use in such a method.
