Abstract:
The present invention relates to the footwear industry and more specifically concerns a device that, inserted in soles for footwear, allows the user to equip his or her own footwear, mechanically and easily, with anti-slip serrated nails in the presence of snow or ice or other slippery material on the paved surface.
Abstract:
A shoe cleat includes a cleat receiver with a cleat engaging section, a cleat including a receiver engaging section suitably dimensioned and configured to releasably engage with the cleat receiver, and a latch member suitably dimensioned and configured to releasably engage with the cleat engaging section and the receiver engaging section. When the cleat engaging section, the receiver engaging section and the latch member are engaged with each other, the cleat is releasably secured to the cleat receiver. Upon securing the cleat to the cleat receiver, the cleat is limited or substantially prevented from rotationally, laterally and axially moving with respect to the cleat receiver.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments of the invention provide a sole assembly having a first fixed portion and a second removable portion, wherein the removable portion is removably mounted to allow replacement, at least one projection extending from a peripheral edge area of the second portion and configured to be engaged with at least one portion of the sole assembly, at least one aperture formed in the second portion and at least one securing device which projects at least partially through the at least one aperture to secure the second portion to the sole assembly.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a cleat (3) for sports shoes, comprising a locking stud (10) by means of which the cleat is automatically resiliently (7) locked in a recess (2) of the sole. Said cleats can be mounted exclusively by hand and are removed by using a tool for rotating the cleat.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for removing eyelets, especially special steel eyelets, on strips of plastic or fabric. Eyelets on strips of plastic or fabric, e.g. in lorry tarpaulins, become worn with use and generally have a service life that is considerably shorter than the strips of plastic or fabric. As a result it is both usual and economically feasible to replace the worn eyelets with new eyelets in order to take full advantage of the service life of the fabric or plastic strip. Eyelets are generally removed by hand. This is a long, drawn-out process and is not economically worthwhile. The invention provides a device for removing eyelets, especially special steel eyelets, on strips of plastic or fabric, comprising means for compressing the edge of the eyelet towards its centre point or in an opposite direction.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a shoe sole with height-adjustable spikes, and more particularly to a shoe sole on which a plurality of spikes arranged beneath a shoe sole body have heights easily adjustable through the use of an adjustment key arranged beneath the shoe sole body. The spikes are extended from or retracted into the shoe sole body in a free manner during outdoor activities such as golf, fishing, or mountain climbing, or during the winter on icy roads, for improving the functional characteristics and practical usability of shoes.
Abstract:
An interchangeable accessory (10) for an item of apparel comprises a decorative member (12), coupled to a carrier member (14), in the form of a generally circular metal plate (30), having a bevelled edge (32), to ease demounting of the carrier member (14) from the mounting member (16). A recess (20) is provided centrally on the carrier plate (30). A Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnet (22) is provided on the rear of the carrier plate (30). The accessory further comprises a mounting member (16), to be fixed to an item of apparel, and a magnetic element (24), provided together in the form of a steel plate. A projection (18), for location in the recess (20), is provided centrally on the mounting member (16). In use, the carrier member (14) is both mechanically and magnetically coupled to the mounting member (16). A number of different, interchangeable decorative members (12) may be provided.
Abstract:
An article of footwear provided with snap-fit replaceable ground-engaging members (14), particularly snap-fit tips, and a kit and method for altering ground-engaging characteristics of an article of footwear such as an athletic shoe. An article of footwear according to the present invention includes a sole (and/or a footplate (10)) having at least one ground-engaging member in snap-fit engagement therewith. In particular, the ground-engaging member is engageable under the application of a non-rotational force (especially a manual force). According to one aspect of the present invention, a clearly discernible feedback (especially an audible feedback, such as a click or a snapping sound) is provided to clearly indicate engagement between the ground-engaging member and the sole.
