El dispositivo de ahorro, protección y dosificación de papel higiénico tiene como finalidad dosificar la cantidad de papel sanitario entregada al usuario mediante el ajuste de la cantidad o longitud prefijada de papel dispensada y el tiempo programado entre un dispenso y otro. También las características del dispositivo evitan que pueda robarse total o parcialmente el papel, permite mediante su pantalla frontal que el usuario pueda conocer cuándo puede acceder a un nuevo dispenso de papel oprimiendo un medio accionador. Se busca a través de este método que el usuario no disponga de todo el papel a la vez, que no lo desperdicie o lo robe, reduce el costo de operación y mantenimiento de las áreas de baños, también mejora la imagen del servicio sanitario con este invento.

A retention mechanism (40) for a dispenser for retaining an end plug (10) of an exchangeable roll of material includes an insertion slot extending between a receiving end (54) and a seating region (50) for inserting a bearing pin (22) of the end plug {10}. The bearing pin (22) has at least a first portion (26) with a first diameter, and a second portion (28) with a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. A pin discriminator (46) is at least at the receiving end (54) and narrows the receiving end (54) so only bearing pins (22) can enter the receiving slot which have a maximum outer diameter in the second portion (28) which equals the second diameter. A rejecting slot (48) extends from the seating region (50) and is dimensioned so only bearing pins (22) with a predetermined maximum diameter in the first portion which is smaller than the first diameter will enter the rejecting slot (48).

The invention concerns dispenser (10) suitable for dispensing absorbent sheet material from a roll (1 1 ) disposable within said dispenser (10). The dispenser (10) comprising: a dispenser body, a rotational shaft (15) suitable for penetration of said roll (1 1 ), a drive unit, and an energy storage system (32) for storing energy. The drive unit is rotationally coupled to said rotational shaft (15), which comprising engagement means suitable for rotationally locking said rotational shaft (15) with said roll (1 1 ). Externally caused rotation of said rotational shaft (15) drives said drive unit, thereby enabling accumulation of energy in said energy storage system (32), and said drive unit is configured to be powered by energy from said energy storage system (32) for temporarily rotating said rotational shaft (15). The engagement means comprises at least one projection (18, 22, 50, 61, 66) and/or at least one recess (37) arranged on a circumferential outer surface (21 ) of said rotational shaft (15) for radial engagement with said roll (1 1 ). The invention also concerns a dispenser assembly comprising a dispenser as previously described and a hollow cylindrical core (17) suitable for supporting a roll of absorbent sheet material.

A two-roll toilet paper dispenser automatically transfers a new roll into dispensing position once the previous roll is spent or nearly spent. A spring-loaded plate senses the decreasing diameter of the first roll, and once it reaches a predetermined minimum, actuates a linkage that permits a mandrel carrying the two rolls to drop down within the dispenser body and position the second roll for dispensing. The mandrel and track structure permits reloading the dispenser without removing the mandrel. The rolls of toilet paper have adapter plugs in one end only, to ensure that the rolls are placed in the correct orientation within the dispenser.

An apparatus for the dispensing of product is provided. The apparatus includes a dispenser that is configured for dispensing product and a sensor in communication with an electrical circuit carried by the dispenser. The sensor is configured for detecting identification information about the product when the electrical circuit is completed by the product. Additional exemplary embodiments are also provided in which the sensor operates through optical detection, smell, physical contact with the product, or vibration instead of or in addition to the completion of an electrical circuit.

The invention relates to a dispensing system comprising a dispenser (9) and a wipe pack (15), said dispenser (9) comprises a member (10) with a lid (1) arranged to cover a dispensing mouth (11), said wipe pack (15) is arranged for consecutive dispensing of wipes one after another through said mouth (11) such that a wipe end (13) is always left protruding from said mouth (11) after every use, said dispensing system is provided with a mechanism for withdrawing the wipe end (13) back inside said dispenser (9) during or prior to closure of said lid (1), and is also arranged to return said wipe end (13) to an easily accessible position when next the lid (1) is opened. The invention also relates to a wipe pack (15) suitable for use in a dispensing system.

A method for fabricating a roll of sheet product includes forming reference indications on portions of a sheet material, wrapping the sheet material about a spindle to form a core about the spindle, wrapping a sheet product about the core to form a log, removing the spindle from the log, and cutting the log into individual rolls of sheet product, wherein the log is cut proximate to the reference indications such that the reference indications are arranged at a first distal end of each of the individual rolls of sheet product.
