摘要:
Described herein are tissue closure devices and methods for ligating a target tissue, such as the left atrial appendage. The tissue closure device may have an elongate body, a snare at least partially housed within the elongate body, a suture at least partially housed within the elongate body, and a tightening element coupled to the suture. The suture may have a suture loop, and the tightening element may be configured to decrease the size of the suture loop when the area of a tissue within the suture loop decreases.

Methods, devices, and systems for mechanically reducing the volume of the lung. Some embodiments include endobronchially positioning an anchoring device within a lung, the anchoring device comprising at least a distal anchor, expanding at least a portion of the distal anchor to anchor the distal anchor against lung lumen tissue, and tensioning at least a portion of the device to reduce the volume of the lung.
摘要:
Embodiments of the present invention encompass systems and methods for delivering ligatures to anatomical features of a patient. Exemplary ligature delivery systems for use in delivering a ligature to a left atrial appendage ligature include an elongate support mechanism having a proximal portion and a distal portion, a flexible hoop assembly, and a cinchable constriction member. The flexible hoop assembly can be coupled with the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism, and can include a support body coupled with a support frame. The support frame can be biased to hold the support body in a trailing configuration, whereby a free portion of the support body is disposed proximal to the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism. The support frame of the flexible hoop assembly can be coupled with the distal portion of the elongate support mechanism.

The present invention generally provides treatment devices for ligating and resecting biological tissue, in particular, ligating and resecting internal biological tissue while being used in conjunction with a flexible endoscope, and methods for use thereof. The aim being to maintain haemostasis and subsequently allow for the delivery of electrical current to said biological tissue. The treatment devices are in particular for the ligation and removal of large pedunculated colonic polyp and comprise a snare member (5) and a ligating member (4).

A system comprising an introducer sheath (30) including a retention member (32) configured to anchor the introducer sheath in a natural body lumen (28) having a wall. The system also has an elongate member (40) extending along a longitudinal axis through a working channel of the introducer sheath and a manipulating portion (42) coupled to a distal end of the elongate member. The manipulating portion include at least one selectively actuatable member (46) configured to transition between an undeployed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the undeployed configuration, the at least one actuatable member extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and in at least one position in the deployed configuration, the at least one actuatable member extends radially outwardly from the longitudinal axis. In the deployed configuration, the manipulating portion and elongate member are configured to be proximally retracted toward the working channel of the introducer sheath so as to move a distal portion of the wall towards a proximal portion of the wall.

Methods, devices, and systems for mechanically reducing the volume of the lung. Some embodiments are a device for reducing the volume of a lung, comprising a distal anchor, a proximal anchor, and a tether extending between the distal and proximal anchors, the device configured so that the distance between the anchors measured along the tether can be increased or decreased and maintained after release of a delivery device. Some embodiments are a method of reducing the volume of a lung, comprising endobronchially deploying an anchoring device within the lung, the anchoring device comprising a distal anchor, a proximal anchor, and a tether extending between the distal and proximal anchors, the device configured such that the distance between the distal and proximal anchors measured along the tether can be increased or decreased and then maintained after release of the anchoring device from a delivery device, reducing the volume of the lung by decreasing the distance between the distal and proximal anchors, and maintaining the decreased distance.
