A device for separating tissue in an eye includes a body configured to be positioned on the eye surface. The body receives air from one or more air supplies. The body includes one or more air supply channels. The separation device includes a plurality of needles extending from the body. Each needle includes a proximal opening, a distal opening, and a passageway extending between the proximal and distal openings. The proximal openings of the needles are coupled to the one or more air supply channels. The distal openings of the needles are spaced from the body to be positioned in eye tissue. The one or more air supply channels direct the air from the one or more air supplies into the proximal openings, through the passageways, and out the distal openings of the needles and into the eye tissue. The air applies a pressure to separate the eye tissue.

A mastectomy device allows a surgeon to cut skin covering a patient's breast more uniformly. The mastectomy device includes: a vacuum well having a peripheral wall, a closed top and an open bottom which together define a well interior, a valve rotatably mounted to the vacuum well and provided with a through channel, and a cutting tip assembly having a telescoping cutting tip. The cutting tip assembly is connected to the vacuum well such that the cutting tip can be inserted into, and withdrawn from the well interior, via the through channel. Rotation of the valve controls the angular position of the through channel, and thus the orientation of the telescoping cutting tip.

The application provides for an elastic band application ligation device. The following medical device medical device features an embowed inner tube, having a wall and a flat tip, a pusher which is complementarily shaped to said inner tube; and a receiving port, which is configured to removably attach to a device capable of generating suction. Preferably, this device capable of generating suction will be a disposable luer lock syringe.

A system and method for holding a cutting tool at a predetermined distance from a defined cutting surface to prepare a tissue flap of substantially uniform thickness for optimal viability. A tissue holder plate having a vacuum chamber is provided to stabilize the tissue mass, and a cutting tool holder and guide plate restrict the movement of the cutting tool with respect to the tissue holder plate.
