摘要:
An apparatus has a housing adapted for mechanical coupling with a skull of a human. A first sensor is positioned in the housing to collect linear motion signals. A second sensor is positioned in the housing to collect rotational motion signals. A processor is positioned in the housing connected to the first sensor and the second sensor. The processor is configured to process the linear motion signals and the rotational motion signals to derive a cumulative impact power measure of repetitive sub-concussive head impacts. The cumulative impact power measure is compared to a threshold indicative of the onset of neural tissue deformations corresponding to physiological changes from repetitive sub-concussive head impacts. An alert is supplied when the cumulative impact power measure is proximate the threshold.

The exemplary embodiments herein provide an electrocardiograph device having a harness with a slot and an electrode comprising an electrode body, a proximate base extending away from the electrode body, and a conductive post extending away from the proximate base and located within the slot, said conductive post preferably having a shaft which connects to a distal tip. A retaining element is preferably located between the harness and the distal tip and slidably secures the conductive post within the slot.

Systems for applying a transcutaneous monitor to a person can include a telescoping assembly, a sensor, and a base with adhesive to couple the sensor to skin. The sensor can be located within the telescoping assembly while the base protrudes from a distal end of the system. The system can be configured to couple the sensor to the base by compressing the telescoping assembly.

A continuous body temperature monitor is disclosed. The continuous body temperature monitor comprises a stickup measuring apparatus of body surface physiological parameters, the apparatus comprising a flexible substrate(101), a sensor(102) for measuring human body parameters including temperature, and a stickup layer(103). The material and shape of the stickup layer(103) are improved by selecting a hydrogel layer with a hollow shape as the stickup layer(103), so that the measuring apparatus may be closely attached to a measurement part, which solves the problem of hysteresis change and inaccuracy of measurement caused by the thermal capacity of the material of the stickup layer(103) per se and thus improves the continuous measurement capability of the measuring apparatus. The continuous body temperature monitor having the measuring apparatus of body surface physiological parameters may be continuously attached to human body skin so as to serve as a continuous body temperature monitor to detect abnormal temperatures produced by abnormal metabolisms of cancer cells.

A defibrillator (AED) using an ECG analysis model or algorithm which can function in two different modes. The ECG analysis model is particularly suited for analysis during periods of CPR. Both modes of operation reach a shock decision in essentially the same way, where one or more ECG data segments indicate a shockable cardiac condition. In one mode of operation, the shock decision is irreversible once made. In another mode of operation, the shock decision is reversible if one or more subsequent ECG data segments indicate a no-shock decision. Improved specificity of the model is obtained without undue degradation of sensitivity to shockable ECG.

A pain measurement and diagnostic system (PMD) for bioanalytical analysis of pain matrix activity and the autonomic nervous system to diagnose and validate patient treatments, health status and outcomes. The PMD is implemented using medical devices for measuring and reporting the objective measurements of pain through patient monitoring and analyzing related biological, physiological, social, environmental, and demographic factors that may contribute to and effect physiological outcomes for patients and through the integrated and iterative analysis, improve diagnosis of pain, the evaluation of related disease states, and treatment options.

The invention provides, in certain parts, a system for monitoring a respiratory rate that includes an accelerometer, a processor, and a casing that encloses the accelerometer and the processor. Optionally, the accelerometer is configured to measure movement of a diaphragm or breath-induced movements, in real time, by detecting tilts of the accelerometer.
