Abstract:
Apparatus for football training is provided which includes a circular wall having an inward facing surface to support rebound of a football, which has been struck in a radial direction against this surface, back along said radial direction towards the centre of the circular wall. Multiple target indications are provided at respective angular locations around the circular wall. The apparatus has a control system for activating a series of target indications in sequence, and a monitoring system for determining whether the inward facing surface of the wall has been struck at the angular location corresponding to an activated target indication.
Abstract:
A physical activity training system operative in conjunction with at least one physical target with which the trainee is expected to interact in trainee activity modes, the system comprising sensor module/s operative to execute real-time measurements of aspect/s of the trainee's interaction with the target, without imaging the trainee; and an output generator including indicator/s operative to enter selectable trainee-detectable states each for a respective time period, thereby to indicate to the trainee which of the trainee activity modes governs (e.g. is in effect) within each time period, and a processor operative to monitor at least one trainee's interaction with the target within the modes, at least by generating, for storage in computer memory, time-stamped records of the modes or states and associated with the records, trainee scores derivable from the measurements generated by the module.

The control unit directs sequences in the display according to a routine, and delivers indicators of strike metrics. The control unit includes a user interface for selection among sequences, as well as for selection of various menu items. A video of a human instructor or an animated avatar is viewable in a display.
Abstract:
A golf ball tracking system comprising at least one golf ball including an RFID device, wherein the RFID device contains golf ball information, such as a unique identifier. The system includes an RFID reader capable of reading the golf ball information from the RFID device. A positioning system, such as GPS, is associated with the reader and is capable of determining the location of the reader. A computer is interconnected with the RFID reader and the positioning system that is capable of receiving the golf ball information from the reader and location information from the positioning system. The computer is operative to record the golf ball information and associated location information. The system may further comprise a plurality of readers separated by at least one blocker that is made of metal screen.
Abstract:
A boxing or martial arts training and/or exercise device includes one or more punching pads locationally displaced and supported on a frame. Respective pads are positioned in support on the frame for punching and kicking. Each pad communicatively connects to one or more impact sensor. Each impact sensor communicatively connects to a control unit. The control unit is communicatively connected to a display. The impact sensor detects touches and taps to the pad and signals the control unit of the detection. Responsive to the detection, the control unit directs sequences shown in the display according to a fighting sequence, a training sequence, or other sequence. The control unit includes a user interface for selection among sequences, as well as for selection of various menu items for the respective types of sequences. The fighting sequence displays an avatar fighter in the display for selective responsive punch or kick to the avatar fighter to via a select pad or pads as directed in the display. The training sequence displays an avatar fighter and a graphic of the pad or pads in relational arrangement supported on the frame for selective responsive punch or kick to the pad(s) as directed in the display. The control unit of the device receives input from the impact sensors in response to each punch or kick, and directs next sequences displayed in the display accordingly, for example, by processing and display of informational content relative to punches and kicks. Selection among fighting or training sequences, and among other items, for directional input to the control unit for processing of fighting, training, and other sequence are made by touch or tap of a respective pad.
Abstract:
The present inventions relate to golf gaming systems and methods for evaluating a golfer's performance and facilitating golf gaming and competition. Specifically, The present invention provides methods, locations, installations, devices and systems adapted and arranged for observing, processing, analyzing and communicating data and images of individual or group golf gaming performance with respect to golf balls in play in three- dimensional environments.
Abstract:
In one exemplary embodiment, an integrated GPS device & RFID transceiver is used with passive RFID tagged golf balls and clubs and sequences of events and rules that enable accurate automatic golf data collection. Active tags may also be used in place of passive tags.
Abstract:
Disclosed is forming a secure golf club gripping style using only the limbs of a body. A limb- only golf swing is thereafter produced using the formed grip, thus eliminating extraneous influences upon said golf swing, including but not limited to golf clubs and other golf equipment that can cause change and/or inconsistency in said swing. Also disclosed is a method of fitting equipment based on limb-only swing performance. One step comprises reproducing the limb- only golf swing as accurately as possible when any club is swung. Another step further comprises fitting the golf club to obtain any desired golf ball travel, wherein the swing performance attained in the prior fitting step is maintained as the principle priority in order to achieve the best overall swing performance and equipment fit. Hence, at least one golf club or other piece of equipment may be produced to any equipment specification(s) determined during the fitting process.
Abstract:
The invention provides cricket training aids comprising a cricket ball receiving and rebound-returning portion having a ball-impact surface, in combination with and supported in use by a ground-engaging portion. Preferred embodiments of the invention provide for tilt and swivel indexing of the ball-impact surface.
Abstract:
Provided is an analysis system of golf ball and club head data using lasers and 4-axis light sensing. The analysis system includes a horizontal sensor array, a vertical sensor array, a control unit, and a display unit. The horizontal sensor array is installed on a floor and includes a plurality of light sensors arranged in straight lines a predetermined distance apart from each other. The horizontal sensor array receives light from a light source installed thereabove so as to detect the silhouette of a golf ball or a club head according to movements of the golf ball or club head. The vertical sensor array is installed to protrude from a floor at a perpendicularly offset angle, in order to receive a laser beam from a laser installed to a rear thereof and detect the silhouette of the golf ball when the golf ball passes through the laser beam. The control unit derives position coordinates of the golf ball in space using data of the silhouette of the golf ball detected by the horizontal and vertical sensor arrays, and calculates a ball speed, a club head speed, a ball directional angle, a ball launch angle, a club head path, a sidespin, and a flight distance, using the position coordinates of the golf ball. The display unit displays the calculations on a screen according to controlling by the control unit. The analysis system detects the flight of a golf ball after it is struck in a practice range, calculates ball speed, flight distance, direction, initial angle, trajectory, landing point, etc. and shows this data in terms of an image and numbers on a screen, and provides a detailed, three-dimensional graph showing the trajectory of the ball against a background image of a golf course, so that the user who hit the ball can easily see the analysis results.
