The skateboard deck has a top surface for supporting a rider of the powered skateboard and a bottom surface configured to facilitate engagement with one or more skateboard trucks. The skateboard deck can include a well in the top surface of the skateboard deck. The well can be adapted to store one of more components of the powered skateboard.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Antriebssystem für ein mit Muskelkraft antreibbares Fahrzeug, insbesondere für ein Skateboard, mit wenigstens einer Achse und wenigstens einem Rad (1), das einen Elektromotor (10) aufweist, wobei der Elektromotor (10) einen Stator (11), der mit der Achse verbindbar ist, und einen Rotor (12), der um den Stator rotierbar ist, umfasst. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Rad (1) eine Rolle (20) aufweist, die eine Lauffläche (24) bildet, wobei die Rolle (20) mit dem Rotor (12) auswechselbar verbunden oder verbindbar ist. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zum Wechseln einer Rolle (20) eines derartigen Antriebssystems sowie ein Herstellungsverfahren.

One-person vehicle (1) for urban transport comprising a transport deck (2) for one user of the vehicle (1), trucks (3) for the displacement of said transport deck (2), and control arms (4) for said trucks (3) which are attached to said transport deck (2) so that they can pivot with respect to said trucks (3) when the user swings the deck (2) for changing the travelling direction of the vehicle (1 ), and is characterized by the fact that each of said trucks (3) comprises a pivot (5) to be inserted into one of said control arms (4) and a damper assembly (19) which is interposed between the pivot (5) and the arm (4) rotating about said pivot (5), allowing said damper assembly (19) to compensate on said arm (4) the weight force that swings the deck (2) and to drive the return to the centre of said arm (4) when said force yields.

A freestyle board sports device is described. More specifically, a rotatable footplate system for attachment to a freestyle board sports device, such as a skateboard with wheels, is described. The rotatable footplate system comprises a footplate assembly that is attached to the wheels of the skateboard and freely rotates in both a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction from a neutral position with respect to a vertical axis of the skateboard when a turning force is applied to the footplate assembly and/or wheels. An alignment mechanism automatically returns the footplate assembly and wheels back to the neutral position via a shortest path when no turning force is applied. A locking mechanism either allows or prevents the footplate assembly from rotating.

Embodiments are provided of skateboard decks and skateboard assemblies each having a unitary body of extruded aluminum, the body having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. Each embodiment can have a handle portion formed in the unitary body and configured to receive one or more fingers, the handle portion positioned proximate one of the first longitudinal edge and the second longitudinal edge. Each of the embodiments disclosed herein can also comprise a first truck rail and a second truck rail extruded with the unitary body on the bottom surface, the first truck rail and the second truck rail running along at least a portion of a length of the unitary body and forming a track configured to movably receive a plurality of truck assemblies.

Disclosed is a braking apparatus for a recreational wheeled board apparatus such as a skate board. The braking apparatus comprising braking members slidably mounted on an axle, wheel mounting assemblies, a trigger assembly and an actuating means. The braking assembly characterised in that the actuating means comprises opposed first and second actuating levers arranged to provide a balanced force to each of the braking members such that even braking of both wheel mounting assemblies is affected when the trigger assembly is engaged.
