The invention concerns a device (V) for mixing and dispensing multicomponent products (I, II) which are located in a chamber (1) from which they can be dispensed by a piston (19) which is displaceable in the direction of a discharge opening (8) by means of a piston-actuating handle (22). The device enables even difficult preparations to be handled reliably and advantageously owing to a mixing element (M) which is movable in the chamber (1), is disposed upstream of the piston (19) and can be moved by the piston-actuating handle (22).

Disclosed herein is an aerator for effectively aerating a liquid. The aerator comprises a body having a first opening and a spout defining a fluid flow path of the liquid. A spray head disposed in the fluid flow path having a plurality of spray openings mixes and aerates the liquid with the air from the air inlet as the liquid is sprayed out through the spray openings. The aerator may also contain an angled head portion to allow the aerator to be attached to a bottle.

The method of preparing a self curing two component powder liquid cement is particularly useful for the preparation of bone cement in orthopedics. The methods consists in flooding (3) the interspaces (2) between the powder component particles (1), said interspaces (2) being evacuated, with a polymerizable liquid component (11) and mechanically homogenizing the resulting cement mass (15) by means of the internal mixing device (7). The method is preferably performed in a syringe type container (4) whereby the liquid component (11) in the ampule (13) is injected through the piston (5) into the powder component (1).

Cartridges useful for mixing materials, such as fluidic materials are provided. A cartridge typically includes a body structure having surfaces that define a cavity with upper and lower portions. A rotatable member generally extends along a horizontal axis in the upper portion of the cavity. One or more protrusions typically extend outward from the rotatable member and into the lower portion of the cavity, and are configured to mix the material when the material is disposed in the cavity. The invention solves the problem of packing, preparing and mixing a mixture of substances containing at least two constituents. The inventive device has a receptacle for one of the two constituents and comprises two axially oriented, temporarily closed openings, a device for applying vacuum, as well as a device for vacuum-sealed placement on top of a second receptacle and a device to insert a suction needle. By applying a vacuum, a second constituent of said mixture is suctioned from an ampule into the receptacle via the inserted suction needle. The axially closed vessel is traversed by an agitator stick vacuum seal on both openings. The membrane or the lid is pierced and the mixture consisting of two constituents is homogeneously mixed by renewed application of a vacuum after removing the suction cannula.
