Abstract:
A system and method for mixing compounds is disclosed. Accordingly to one embodiment a transfer device is provided that allows for diluent from a syringe to be introduced into a container having a first compound (e.g., powder) in a sterile manner. In second and third embodiments, systems are shown for combining and mixing first and second compounds contained in first and second containers in a sterile manner. Various dropper tips for dispensing the mixed compounds are disclosed.
Abstract:
An assembly and method are provided for storing and dispensing a soluble substance, such as a flavoring, into a liquid. A useful application of the subject invention includes the case where lime-flavored liquid is contained in a foam artificial lime stored in the neck of a beer bottle, attached to a beer bottle or can, or attached to the 6-pack or 12-pack carton. The artificial lime may be retrieved from the neck or a protective covering and acted upon so it diffuses the lime-flavored liquid into the beer when it is inserted into the beer bottle. Alternately, juice from the artificial lime may be squeezed into the beer, or the artificial lime may be simply retrieved and discarded. Rather than needing to buy a natural lime, cut it up and push a wedge into a beer bottle, an artificial lime, or a packaged natural lime, may be stored directly in or with the beer bottle and placed in functional contact with the beer at time of consumption.
Abstract:
A dispenser comprises a housing that has a removable tamper proof protective cap and tamper proof ring and is threaded to a container. The container, which is the main package, holds the supplemental component. The housing holds the first component into a plunger type chamber in a fully retracted position and is sealed from the supplemental component. The chamber has a delivery end that is closed before use. When pushed all the way in, the chamber's delivery end becomes open and delivers the first component into the main package.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A cartridge container unit having a compartment for storing a material. The compartment is adapted for separately storing one component of a formulation until ready for mixing with a second component in an assembly unit prior to use. Thus, the cartridge unit allows the user to store a material until ready for use, or to store multiple components of a formulation in separate individually sealed containers until ready for use that can be readily assembled into a single multi-compartment container. The cartridge unit includes a substantially cylindrical housing having a sealable opening at its top end and an opening at its bottom end. The bottom end may be adapted and configured to engage and seal the assembly unit. A first inwardly extending annular shoulder is provided between the sealable opening and the bottom opening, defining a flow passage along a longitudinal axis of the housing.
Abstract:
A mixing cap and method for use thereof, wherein the mixing cap is preferably pre-loaded during time of manufacture with a selected dry or liquid ingredient to facilitate subsequent consumer use. The mixing cap comprises an apertured inner tube threadably-engagable to the mouth of a bottle, and an outer housing cooperatively-engaged to the inner tube and slidably-restricted thereover via a flange arrangement. Preloaded ingredients contained within the outer housing may be introduced or discharged into the bottle by simply depressing the outer housing over the inner tube, thereby permitting the ingredients to flow through the apertures of the inner tube and into the liquid contents of the bottle. The combined ingredients and liquid within the bottle may subsequently be shaken without fear or risk of leakage or spillage.
Abstract:
There is provided an infant feeding bottle system (1) having an agitator (30) for mixing a powder substance with a liquid in a non-rigid disposable liner (25). The bottle system permits a user to mix powdered formula directly inside a non-rigid liner. The bottle system enhances the mixing effect, resulting in improved solubility, and provides for a self-contained uninterrupted mixing and feeding process.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a rechargeable dispenser including a cap removably connected to a bottle having an upwardly extending flange. The cap is provided with at least one reservoir to be compromised by the spout of the bottle to release chemical concentrate in the bottle for charging the rechargeable dispenser when mixed with a diluent such as water within the bottle.
Abstract:
An oral feeding bottle comprising a feed container having an open end and a feed dispensing means releasably connectable therewith, and a cap, adapted to fit over the open end of the feed container and to be releasably connected to the feed container, the cap being provided with means for stowing the feed dispensing means when the feed dispensing means is released from the container, whereby, when the cap is connected to the container, sterilisation of the feed dispensing means and the feed container can be carried out with a sterilising medium.
Abstract:
A package for keeping products separate until use comprises a container (1) provided with an upper mouth (2) inside which a capsule (3) is inserted; the capsule having a bottom (4) which is destined at the moment of use of the package to be broken by a cutting element (11). A cap (13) covers the capsule (3) and the cutting element (11), and is screwed on a sleeve (6) solidly constrained to the capsule (3). When a security strip (16) is removed the cap (13) can be screwed, placing a pressure on the cutting element (11) which causes the capsule (3) to be ruptured and a product contained therein to mix with a product contained in the container.
