Abstract:
A wash nozzle assembly for comprising a cylindrical nozzle body component having a proximal end with a demountable coupling device for engaging a supply of high-speed fluid, and a distal end; a cylindrical nozzle tip component having a proximal end for demountable coupling with the distal end of the cylindrical nozzle body, and a conical distal end, said conical distal end having at least one orifice; at least one O-ring mounted onto the distal end of the cylindrical nozzle body; a swirl plate mounted into a juncture of the cylindrical nozzle body and the cylindrical nozzle tip component, the swirl plate having at least one channel therethrough; and a three-dimensional flow interrupter component housed within the cylindrical nozzle tip component. The wash nozzle assembly can be demountable engaged with an end of coiled tubing for cleaning and washing debris from a wellbore.
Abstract:
A nozzle assembly of a windshield washer system of a vehicle includes a fluid feed line (106) that is configured to receive washer fluid from a washer fluid storage tank, at least one ball jet line (108, 110) coupled to the fluid feed line, and at least one fluidic line (112) coupled to the fluid feed line.
Abstract:
One variation of a showerhead includes: a body defining a fluid circuit, a first region on a ventral side of the body, and a second region adjacent the first region on the ventral side of the body; a set of hollow cone nozzles distributed within the first region, fluidly coupled to the fluid circuit, and discharging sprays of fluid droplets within a first size range; a set of flat fan nozzles arranged within the second region, fluidly coupled to the fluid circuit, and discharging sprays of fluid droplets within a second size range; and a set of orifices fluidly coupled to the fluid circuit and discharging fluid drops between sprays discharged from the set of hollow cone nozzles and sprays discharged from the flat fan nozzles, fluid drops discharged from the set of orifices within a third size range exceeding the first size range and the second size range.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a humidifier configured to humidify an aerosol, the humidifier comprising a first water compartment (100) containing water used to humidify the aerosol; a second water compartment (300) containing water used to humidify the aerosol; an intermediate chamber (200) located between the first and the second water compartment (100, 300), the intermediate chamber (200) comprising an aerosol inlet (210) and an aerosol outlet (220) and providing first boundary surfaces of a passageway (230) through which the aerosol to be humidified passes; a first layer (10) permeable to water vapour and impermeable to liquid water, which is located between the first water compartment (100) and the intermediate chamber (200), wherein a section of the first layer provides a second boundary surface of the passageway; a second layer (20) permeable to water vapour and impermeable to liquid water, which is located between the second water compartment (300) and the intermediate chamber (200), wherein a section of the second layer provides a third boundary surface of the passageway (230) opposed to the second boundary surface.
Abstract:
This invention relates to bubble generation, in particular to microbubble generation in a microfluidic device, which bubbles may be useful as contrasting agents or drug delivery vehicles. The invention further relates to apparatuses, systemsand methods for manufacturing said microbubbles, microbubbles produced by such methods and to their uses, e.g. in medical, diagnostic and other such applications. The microbubbles are preferentially formed using a microspray regime.
Abstract:
A spray nozzle assembly having a nozzle body with a central inlet passage and a pair of angled passages each communicating at an acute angle with the central passage. A vane is disposed within each angled passage with a whirl chamber being defined between the vane and a discharge orifice of the angled passage. Each vane is selectively designed for imparting vortical movement to a liquid flow stream passing through the vane and into the whirl chamber such that liquid discharged from the discharge orifice is in a predetermined conical spray pattern according to the individual vane design. The nozzle body may have two or more angled passages, each having a respective individually designed whirl imparting vane.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a container holding a whitening material, and a dispenser to release the whitening material from the container, wherein the dispenser is configured to simultaneously dispense the whitening material in a spray pattern 360 degrees around the dispenser.
