Abstract:
According to the invention, at least two cutting blades (3a, 3b) are attached to a body (4) on the opposite sides of a centre bit (2) at substantially an equal distance from the centre bit (2). The cutting point (6a) of the first blade (3a) is on the outer edge of the blade (3a), and the cutting point (6b) of the second cutting blade (3b) is on the inner edge of the cutting blade (3b) whereby, when a hole is drilled, a wide cut is formed in the object drilled by the action of the cutting blades (3a, 3b).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus, and methods may be adapted for grafting tissue at a tissue site that may include an elongate housing and a plurality of elongate cutting members. The plurality of elongate cutting members may define a cutting surface at a distal end of the elongate housing. The cutting surface may be adapted to contract from a first diameter to a second diameter that is less than the first diameter. The contraction of the cutting surface from the first diameter to the second diameter may define a tapered profile between the first diameter and the second diameter suitable for obtaining a tapered graft.
Abstract:
A cutting tool (1) is shown for cutting, handling and then ejecting disks of material cut from a sheet or like material (101 Figure 2b), the tool comprising: a body (10) having a proximal end (12) adapted to be rotatably driven about an axis Ax, and having a distal end (14) including a generally cylindrical cutting portion (16) rotatable about said axis for cutting and receiving said disks; an ejector (20) slideable parallel with the axis and within said cylindrical cutting portion for ejecting the received cut disks; and a grip (40) rotatably mounted to the body such that the grip can be held without substantial rotation whilst the body is rotated said grip being operable to cause said sliding of the ejector and for ejecting the disks.
Abstract:
A hole saw having a central body portion adapted to receive a hole saw blade portion. The body and the blade have correspondingly shaped apertures and lugs that co-operate together to hold the blade in place. A locking means further assists in ensuring that the blade remains locked to the body and includes a sliding klatch that engages an aperture in the blade and the body and is itself locked in place to thereby lock the blade to the body.
