Abstract:
A scoop cutter and method for producing shaped food products. A rotating arcuate blade with a cutting edge on at least one side works in conjunction with a thickness spacing sphere to produce a shaped food product having three dimensions. As food product in the form of non- sticky, low tact dough, or raw or whole fruits and vegetables comes into contact with the thickness spacing sphere, the blade slices it, creating shaped food products with uniform thickness. The width to depth ratio of the shaped food product is adjustable depending on the desired texture and size.

El cortador superior (1 ) es de los utilizados en máquinas de alimentación de la fruta por cintas que las alinean y las separan para su posterior tratamiento individualizado entre dos copas, una copa superior (3) y una copa inferior, donde dos cortadores, uno superior (1) y otro inferior (2) comprenden sendos bordes cortantes (13, 14) que producen sendas incisiones superior e inferior en la fruta para permitir la salida del zumo, comprendiendo además el cortador superior (1) un vastago cilindrico (4). A machine, method, and cutting tool comprises a cylindrical body; an annular bevel formed in an end of the cylindrical body forming a circular cutting edge at one of an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body and an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical body; a plurality of grooves formed in one of the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body and the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical body, the plurality of grooves creating a discontinuities in the circular cutting edge; wherein at least two adjacent grooves of the plurality of grooves are spaced about the cylindrical body at a pitch period of 5mm or less.

The inventive container (1) consists of a rigid outer container (2) and a slightly deformable inner bag (3) arranged closely thereto, and is produced by means of a coextrusion-blowing process. Said outer container (2) contains at least one pressure equalisation opening (7) by which means air enters between the outer container (2) and the inner bag (3) when the bag contents are delivered, for example by a pump. The at least one pressure equalisation opening (7) is formed by cutting away a curved section of the wall (6) of the outer container (2) using a rotating tubular blade (5) or a hollow blade (11), so that a hole (7) is made in the outer wall. The container is kept flat during this cutting process. The inner bag (3) remains intact and is simply pushed inwards.

A method and an apparatus for contouring the shoulder areas (38) of retreaded tires (54) is disclosed. A cutter (62), preferably having a heated blade (66), is disposed proximate at least one shoulder of a retreaded tire (54). The retreaded tire (54) is then rotated, while the cutter blade (66) is moved into contact with the side wall (16) of the tire (54) proximate the joint between the tire casing (12) and the tread layer (50). A portion of the tire casing (12) and the tread layer (50) is cut away along the entire shoulder area (38) of the retreaded tire (54) to provide an aesthetically pleasing contoured surface extending from the tire casing (12) to the tread layer (50).

A device, utilizing a unique hemispherical cutter (25) to remove a sample of material and to retain the sample of material for retrieval. The cutter (25) is mounted on a chassis which can travel along the interior or exterior of the device to be sampled. The carriage can be maintained in a fixed position relative to the structure being sampled. After positioning of the cutter carrying carriage the cutter blade (25) is pivoted to engagement with the surface (88). The blade penetrates the surface and removes a sample (110) in a single continuous cut, leaving a shallow dimple. The sample is then retrieved through the return of the cutter (25) and carriage from the device being sampled.

A fruit flesh extracting machine for extracting a flesh of a fruit is provided. The machine includes a conveyor configured for, carrying and displacing the fruit; an edge removing station configured for slicing at least one edge of the fruit; and a flesh extracting station having a first scoop slidably and transversely mounted with respect to the conveyor and being configured for scooping out the flesh of the fruit. The conveyor is configured to displace the fruit between the edge removing station and the flesh extracting station.

The present invention includes methods and apparatus for controlling the abrasion of a tire surface. Particular embodiments provide an abrading tool for abrading a surface of a tire, the tool comprising means for rotating an abrading wheel, an abrading wheel rotatably attached to the means for rotating, and a depth guide secured to the means for rotating, wherein the depth guide includes a pair of freely rotatable, spaced apart guide wheels. Further embodiments include a depth guide configured for use with an abrading tool which includes a abrading wheel and a means for rotating the abrading wheel, the depth guide comprising a mounting member securable to the means for rotating and a pair of freely rotatable, spaced apart guide wheels rotatably attached to the mounting member. Particular embodiments further include a method for preparing a portion of a tire for repair.
