Abstract:
Tooling (200, 500, 800) for an ultrasonic tube sealer (202) includes an ultrasonic horn tip (208, 508, 808) and an anvil (210, 510, 810). The ultrasonic horn tip (208, 508, 808) and the anvil (210, 510, 810) each have at least one forming tool (218, 220; 518, 520; 818, 820). The forming tools (218, 220; 518, 520; 818, 820) have a configuration that form an end (204) of a tube (206) when it is sealed by the ultrasonic tube sealer (202) to be rounded.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for creating a vacuum-sealed package comprising the placement of the item to be vacuum packed in a container; sealing the container, placing a portion of the container in contact with a sealable chamber; sealing the chamber, creating holes in the container, evacuating the desired amount of air from the container and creating a seal between the interior of the container and the holes.
Abstract:
A copper or aluminum tube is cut and sealed in an ultrasonic tube sealer. A section of the tube is placed laterally in a V-shaped recess of a center member of a forming tool of an anvil of the ultrasonic tube sealer. The anvil and a horn tip are brought together with the center member received in a channel of a forming tool of the horn tip to cut the tube with the cut tube having cut ends on opposed sides of the center member. At least one of the cut ends is pinched together between the forming tool of the anvil and the forming tool of the ultrasonic horn tip and the ultrasonic horn is ultrasonically vibrated to ultrasonically weld the at least one cut end together to seal that cut end.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a hot-air welder for waterproofing tape which completely waterproofs a sewing line portion by heat-welding a synthetic resin tape on the sewing line portion of a product made of waterproof sheet such as a tent, raincoat, jumper, hat and ski suit. The hot-air welder for waterproofing tape having a lower roller driver enables not only selective welding of the straight-line portion and arc portion by selectively positioning the straight-line portion or curve portion formed on a lower roller in correspondence with the upper roller by a lower roller support that is pivoted through a separate pivot means, but also more speedier and convenient in the case of hot-air welding the section where the straight-line portions and arc portions are continuous.

Abstract:
A multiple-chamber medical container accordingto the invention, wherein a weak discharge-control seal 21is provided separating a second storage chamber 11 from amedicament outlet 7 and being openable at the time of use, thereby a middle chamber 23 is formed between the weak discharge-control seal 21 and the medicament outlet 7, aliquid medicament is stored in the second storage chamber11, a pathway 25 allowing the second storage chamber 11 to communicate with the middle chamber 23 is formed in theweak discharge-control seal 21, and the pathway 25 allows a passage of gas and preventing a passage of liquid.
Abstract:
A resilient backing member for use in cooperation with an impulse heating element comprises a resilient body having a longitudinal shoulder surface and a longitudinal intermittent raised edge protruding from the shoulder surface. The resilient backing member is for use in cooperation with an impulse heating element for sealing layers of thermoplastic film together and for either forming a sealed portion on the film, a rupturable portion on the film or severing the film. Accordingly, the resilient backing member can be used on a pouch filling machine to produce a string of sealed pouches connected by a rupturable portion or a sealed portion, and filled with flowable material without the use of a separate cutting blade.
Abstract:
A system for sealing thermoplastic film includes one or more bag sealing units, each comprising a lower vacuum platen and a vacuum chamber cover adapted for sealing engagement on the platen to form a vacuum chamber. A sealing bar assembly includes a sealing bar designed for constant heated operation and a pair of cooling plates which function as heat sinks. The sealing bar assembly is pneumatically reciprocated between a raised, disengaged position and a lowered position with the sealing bar engaging the neck of a bag for hermetically sealing same. The cooling plates clamp the bag neck against a sealing support assembly. A method of sealing a thermoplastic film bag includes the steps of placing a packaging object in a thermoplastic bag and placing the bag on a cradle with the bag neck extending over a bag support assembly. A. vacuum chamber cover is placed on the platen and evacuated to form a vacuum chamber. A sealing bar assembly melds the thermoplastic to form a sealed area across the bag neck. A cutoff knife blade severs the end of the bag beyond a sealed area, which extends across its neck.
