Abstract:
An electronic data storage device for use with a cartridge for storing and dispending liquid for use with an inkjet printer, the electronic data storage device storing printing data, wherein the printing data comprises at least one of: liquid density data, liquid conductivity data, recirculation data, and printer geometry data.
Abstract:
A transform wrapper is stored on a memory device and the memory device may be included in a printer cartridge. The transform wrapper may dynamically build a transform map for a printer based on metadata stored at the memory device. The metadata may indicate at least one of a type of depositing material, transform map, print media and printer.
Abstract:
A liquid propelling component includes a liquid channel, a circuit block. The circuit block includes a first conductor disposed in the liquid channel to be in contact with liquid in the channel and a second conductor insulated from liquid in the channel. The liquid propelling component further includes a memory storing a digital code that corresponds to an analogue value of the second conductor under a predefined charge.
Abstract:
In one example implementation, a replaceable printing component includes a fluid supply chamber, and a printhead on the fluid supply chamber. The printhead includes a memory storing a factory identification code that comprises a combination of digitized analog performance parameters. The printhead also includes electronic test components from which the analog performance parameters have been measured.
Abstract:
A replaceable printing component includes a housing, and an array of pockets separated by ribs and each having a first geometrical shape formed in a side of the housing, wherein at least one of the ribs between adjacent ones of the pockets is removed to form a combined pocket having a second geometrical shape.
Abstract:
An ink cartridge for supplying ink to an inkjet recording device is provided. The ink cartridge comprises a case forming a housing space for housing an ink reservoir element on the inside and a replaceable ink reservoir element storing ink and placed in the housing space. The ink reservoir element comprises an ink supply part for supplying ink to an inkjet recording device; and an irradiated part structured to be placed between two portions of an optical sensor of the inkjet recording device and to be irradiated with light. The case is formed by a plurality of case members which are connected to each other and one end surface of the case is equipped with an opening through which at least a portion of said ink supply part and at least a portion of said irradiated part are exposed to the outside of said case such that the irradiated part of the ink reservoir element is detectable, when the ink reservoir element is housed in the case.
Abstract:
A replaceable unit for an image forming apparatus according to one example embodiment includes a housing and at least one transmissive member positioned on an exterior of the housing. The at least one transmissive member is arranged to receive optical energy from the image forming apparatus and has a transmissivity for modifying an amount of the optical energy that leaves the at least one transmissive member relative to an amount of the optical energy received by the at least one transmissive member. The at least one transmissive member indicates information relating to a characteristic of the replaceable unit.
Abstract:
Devices and methods for refurbishing a used print cartridge (70) for further use in a printing device are provided. An electronic patch (10) is attached to a circuit (80) on the used print cartridge (70). The electronic patch (10) includes contact pads (50) that are positioned to electrically contact pads (82) on the circuit (80) of the used print cartridge. The electronic patch also includes a control chip (60) and an embedded memory array that replaces one or more functions of the memory on the used print cartridge, allowing the used print cartridge to be refilled with printing ink and reused in a printer.
