Abstract: Pen cartridge (10) with a front part (11 ), which exhibits a writing member (15) and is provided on a main body (12) and is formed to be arranged in a passage (23) of a pen housing (20). The pen cartridge (10) is provided with an aeration passage (13), which runs at least along a partial area of the front part (11 ), especially according to the length of passage (23). With the pen cartridge an aeration passage may be provided for a pen with substantially airtight housing, via which, at least when the pen is in a state where it is ready for writing, an air exchange and/or equalisation of pressure between the periphery and the interior of the housing is ensured. Irrespective of the configuration of the pen housing of a writing implement or pen, the proposed solution ensures an aeration/ventilation of the interior of the pen cartridge and thereby also of the region of a pressure equalisation aperture of the pen cartridge.

Abstract: A writing instrument, which has an inner and outer writing element with separate writing medium reservoirs. The writing elements are coaxially mounted in an outer barrel and axially moveable with respect to one another. A driving mechanism may be actuated to allow a user to selectively extend one writing element. The inner and outer writing elements may have an inner sleeve therebetween to improve, for instance, rigidity of the outer writing element and to prevent contamination of the writing medium reservoirs. An outer sleeve may also be provided over the outer writing element. The outer sleeve can function to hold various components of the outer writing element together, and to allow for clean and easy refill of the outer writing element, especially when the outer writing element is a porous nib with a filler-type writing medium reservoir. The writing instruments is designed so that a user can replace the inner and/or outer writing elements when their respective writing medium have been expended.

Abstract: A writing instrument comprises: a writing tip for spreading writing fluid on surface of written media, a first reservoir chamber having a fluid outlet for supplying the writing tip with writhing fluid, a connecting sleeve for connecting the writing tip and the first reservoir chamber, in characterized that said instrument further comprises at least one additional reservoir chamber inside or outside of the first reservoir chamber, wherein each additional reservoir chamber comprises a fluid outlet, and wherein, with relative rotation between the fluid outlet of the at least one additional reservoir chamber and the connecting sleeve, the writing fluid of the at least one additional reservoir chamber is conducted to the writing tip via the fluid outlet to supply the writing tip with the writing fluid continually. The writing instrument has a reasonable structure and low cost and eliminates the leakage due to the pressure and attractive force generated by internal shock or longitudinal movement of the reservoir chambers in the prior art.
