Abstract:
The invention relates to the production of decorative facing materials using a glass-pelletizer and refractory filler. The inventive method for a continuous production of decorative facing slabs consists in loading of basic materials into casting-moulds which are placed on an open heat-insulated palette, and in thermal treatment in a furnace at a temperature ranging from 900 DEG C to 950 DEG C. After the thermal treatment, the palette with the moulds is taken out and conditioned at an ambient temperature during 80-90 sec accompanied by cooling the surface of the slabs to a temperature ranging from 600 DEG C to 634 DEG C. Afterwards, the slabs are placed in a heat-insulated closed space having a thermal resistance of walls which makes it possible to cool the surface of the slab to a temperature ranging from 100 DEG C to 140 DEG C with an average cooling rate ranging from 0.016 to 0.020 degrees/sec.
Abstract:
A process for making a marble casting material comprising a solidified polymer blend having superior depth characteristics is disclosed. The process involves the partial intermingling of two or more partially incompatible marble casting resins that are not intended to be normally used in combination. Due to the partial incompatibility, when the partially intermingled marble casting resins solidify, a marble effect is created.

The apparatus comprising means (104, 106, 114) for engaging the portions (147) of the sheet material (12) and forming pleats (147) in predetermined portions of the sheet of material having a predetermined shape whereby the formed flower pot or flower pot cover has pleats in predetermined portions and of predetermined shapes.
Abstract:
A soft surface laminate comprising a layer of modelling clay bonded to a supporting medium, which is preferably flexible, such as paper, cardboard, fiberboard, cloth of plastics film. The clay is bonded to the supporting medium preferably without the use of a bonding agent, for example by rolling. The laminate may be used, inter alia, for printing, for moulding of self-setting liquid materials, and for temporary seals for fissures or cracks in fluid containing vessels or conduits.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to modelling doughs comprising; a) at least one starch-containing material; b) at least on low vapour pressure polar solvent; and c) an aqueous component. Typically the doughs will also contain optional ingredients such as softeners, preservatives and/or additives. The invention further relates to filled doughs comprising the modelling doughs incorporating an inert filler and to methods for the production of both the modelling dough and the filled dough.
Abstract:
A hobbyist-useable apparatus (10) and method for fabricating decoratively shaped writing instruments (13) is disclosed. The apparatus (10) for fabricating decoratively shaped writing instruments having a casing includes a heater unit (12) and a shaper unit (14). The heater unit includes a heat source (116), and a heating compartment (100) having an opening for inserting and removing the writing instrument casing (11). The heat source (116) provides heat to the heating compartment (100). The shaper unit (14) includes a platform (30) having an elongated slot (42), an exterior mold assembly (36) attachable to the platform (30) and moveable in the elongated slot (42); an exterior shaping surface (288) coupled to the exterior mold assembly; and an interior mold insert (34) having an interior shaping surface (66). The interior mold insert is attachable to the platform (30) such that the movement of the exterior mold assembly (36) in the elongated slot (42) moves the exterior shaping surface towards and away from the interior shaping surface (66). The writing instrument casing (11) is heated in the heating compartment (100), then the heated casing (11) is placed on the platform (30) and is compressed between the interior shaping surface (66) and the exterior shaping surface by movement of the exterior mold assembly (36) in the elongated slot (42).
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for transforming a two-dimensional image into a corresponding three-dimensional object, comprising: dividing the two-dimensional image into n fragments constituting representation in flat image of each of the arbitrarily established n layers of the three-dimensional object, transferring the individual n fragments onto light-permeable foundation layers, and then positioning the foundation layers one after another, in a sequence from the first layer to the n -th layer, where each of the n fragments have been fitted between each of the two adjacent fragments, positioned in front of and behind the mentioned n fragment.
Abstract:
A method of forming a wall structure (10) that replicates a wall formed by nature. Methodology for fabricating the wall structure (10) includes pouring a first concrete mixture (12a) into a substantially vertical form (50) which is constructed as a channel (56) within a generally elongate mound (54) of naturally occurring material and thereafter permitting a top surface of the mixture to assume a non-level configuration. Preferably, a joint forming material (22) is placed on the top surface of this first concrete mixture (12a). In like manner, a second concrete mixture (14a) is poured on top of the first layer (12) and a joint forming material (22) is included. Additional layers (16, 18, 20) can be added, with the concrete mixtures preferably including decorative additives (26, 28) that are exteriorly visible. After form (50) removal by removing the mound (54), the entire wall (10) or individual layers (12, 14, 16 ,18, 20) thereof can be subjected to an exterior treatment to enhance appearance.
