Combined tyres comprise a first tyre (1), a second tyre (2), a first wheel (3), a second wheel (4) and some groups of connecting parts (5). Some groups of connecting parts (5) thread the first wheel (3) and the second wheel (4) together. This can improve the friction of tyres. If sometimes a car is stranded in desert, snow, mud et al., the combined tyres can get the car out of the difficult situation quickly because the friction is doubled.

The invention provides a collapsible wheel (10) and wheel (10) arrangement for vehicles to allow a vehicle's wheel (10) to collapse under certain circumstances to help prevent the vehicle from rolling over. The arrangement includes a wheel (10), an attachment means (2) arranged on the wheel (10) for attaching the wheel (10) to a vehicle, and collapsing means (1 ) for collapsing the wheel (10) when the vehicle enters a lateral slide.

The present invention relates to a protector shield for a sidewall of a motor vehicle tire, and to a wheel assembly for a motor vehicle incorporating this protector shield. This protector annular shield (1) is configured to be mounted on a wheel rim receiving said tire. According to the invention, the protector shield comprises at least two concentric shield rings (10 and 20) comprising a first shield ring (10) and a second shield ring (20) which are axially juxtaposed and which respectively comprise, substantially arranged end to end in a circumferential direction, a plurality of first arcuate sectors (11a, 12a) and a plurality of second arcuate sectors (21a, 22a) which angularly overlap each other, so that every two consecutive second sectors are substantially arranged end to end (23) axially in front of a first sector short of both ends (13) of this first sector.

An apparatus and method for preventing debris from accessing and wrapping around the axles of a vehicle, such as a landfill compactor, are disclosed. The apparatus may include a wheel having a rim from which radially extend a plurality of cleats or tips. A subset of tips may be provided circumferentially around a laterally inner edge of the wheel. A wheel guard may be mounted between adjacent pairs of tips of the subset. Each wheel guard may be welded to the rim and to the adjacent pairs of tips. Each wheel guard may be a unitary piece of metal, or could be provided in two or more segment so as to be adjustable and thus facilitate use on wheels of differing diameters, or with different tip spacing. The wheel guards and adjacent tips form a continuous barrier around the circumference of the wheel to prevent debris from accessing and wrapping around the axles of the compactor.

A retractable anti-aquaplaning device for increasing the traction of a tire of a motor vehicle in travel on a flooded roadway is described. The device includes a water-displacer with a suspension-mounted support system such that the water-displacer, when deployed, reciprocates up and downwardly with the corresponding wheel of the vehicle to follow the roadway. The suspension-mounted support system is adapted to functionally or physically disengage the anti-aquaplaning device from the suspension of the vehicle upon lifting of the anti-aquaplaning device with a separate retraction system.
