Abstract:
An interactive laboratory robotic system is described that includes devices for use in a laboratory including a robotic assistant that can perform tasks and that can be controlled and configured by humans. The robot may assist personnel in performing repetitive tasks within a laboratory, and capture and store transactional and analytical data, such as during a DNA sequencing process. The robot may include sensors and/or cameras to detect, recognize, and track objects in an environment, and a manipulable arm having a hand for grasping objects. Other components of the system may include a sample tray graspable by the robot; a tray carriage for holding sample trays within equipment; an interactive shelf for holding sample trays; a mobile cart for mating with and charging the robot; and an accessory unit to enable the robot to open doors of equipment. The system may help to reduce or eliminate mistakes by personnel.
Abstract:
A lifting system for shelves and store gondolas which provides for a deflective contact engagement of the upright posts of the frame of the shelving which supports the load on engaged shelves and products. The device features a dolly and extending members having an opening on distal ends to contact the post in a removable engagement. Tapers on the members provide for deflection of any kickplates blocking the members from engagement to the posts. The dollies may be employed in a plurality around the shelf and engaged with connector bars between them for a unified movement of the dollies elevating the shelf.
Abstract:
A trolley (11) for a golf bag (31) comprising a frame (12), a wheel mounting (13) with two wheels (17), and a handle (14). There is a lower support (15) including a pair of hooks (18) and a quick release mechanism (16) at the top of the trolley. The hooks (18) engage corresponding eyes (32) at the bottom of the bag. At the top of the bag there are catches (33) which engage the quick release mechanism.
Abstract:
A blade lift tool is configured to selectively lift and move a road grader blade. The blade lift tool includes a wheeled bottom member, a handle, and an upright adjustable riser. The riser includes elongated upper and lower riser sections and a hinged joint that connects the riser sections, with the hinged joint permitting the upper riser section to swing relative to the lower riser section. The riser includes a locking element removably engaged with at least one of the riser sections to restrict relative hinged movement between the riser sections, with the locking element being removable to selectively permit swinging of the upper riser section.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a ball collection device which is typically adapted to collect golf balls. The device comprises a plurality of resiliently deformable wires (102) which are aligned in the direction of travel of the device, held in place by a supporting frame (104,106,110,112) which, together with the wires (102) form a basket. In use the device is pushed along the ground and on interaction with a ball, the wires (102) are pushed apart allowing the ball to enter the basket. Once inside the basket, the wires (102) return to their original position.
Abstract:
A device (1) and a method for transporting objects. The device comprises a wheeled axle (2) carrying a frame (4) with a handle (5), an abutment plate (9) for abutment of a first, side of the object, and a lever (11) with a front end (F) carrying a thrust plate (21) for engaging an opposite second side of the object. The lever (11) is pivotable between a holding position, in which position the thrust plate (21) faces the abutment plate (9) and higher positions creating a larger distance between the thrust plate and the abutment plate, in the holding position the front end (F) of the lever (11) can, e.g., be at a level on or above the level of the axle (2). The abutment plate (9) can, e.g., extend below the wheels (3) when it is in a vertical position.

Abstract:
Apparatus for lifting and transporting mutually similar objects of mutually similar shape comprises a chassis (10) which runs on two wheels (101) mounted on a common axle (102), a handle (103), and a lifting unit (11) which can be manoeuvered from the handle (103). The lifting unit includes two mutually coacting gripping arms (111, 112) which have a respective gripping claw (113, 114) mounted on their free ends. The front gripping arm (111) is journalled on a lifting arm (104) for movement of the gripping arm in a plane at right angles to the wheel axle (102). The rear gripping arm (112) is journalled on the front gripping arm (111) for movement in the same plane as the front gripping arm. The distance from the gripping claw (113) on the front gripping arm (111) to the mutual journal point (115) of the two gripping arms (111, 112) is longer than the distance from the gripping claw (114) on the rear gripping arm (112) to the journal point (115).
Abstract:
